He changed it he brought on Anderson and Wilson and things improved. Isak was completely useless in this match.
There was no blueprint. Of our players played like they were capable of then it wouldn’t have mattered. People like Joelinton who looked like a striker playing in midfield for starters
I'd agree this was the disappointing thing, although we did seen to change (or were more effective) when Wilson came on. If he hadn't already made the Gordon/Barnes sub, I wonder if we'd been better moving Isak wide left with Wilson through the middle. End of the day, people moan we only got one shot on target - we restricted them to 4 which is pretty impressive given their quality up front
Indeed. Thought we could have also played Isak on the right and Wilson in the middle. Personally thought we needed to change it completely and maybe went two up top with Barnes behind. Though that would have left Burn even more isolated
That Wilson chance was annoying like, 3 on bloody one, all he had to do was wait for the runners, oh well.
I think Wilson thought he could dupe the cb and wanted to score to prove a point. Unfortunately he failed.
He is fairly unselfish in those situations, he just wasn't aware of what was around him then the chance had gone.
I mean if he had another second to think he would have passed it then it would have been two on one on the keeper, but you don't get that time in these games.
