anyway at what point do we need to stop thinking about how to maximise trends impact on the game and starting thinking about how to maximise Szoboszlai's? if we look at our version of 3223 it's actually quite narrow given the wide men don't stay wide. the contrast to city in their 3241 is massive. grealish will be glued to the wide area etc. how do we adapt to the players we have now? I think 4222 would be better but 4231 would work. 343 might not be the best idea. I think we need to get back to exploiting the best width we have from the full backs and enabling a player like Szoboszlai to do this thing 4231 might be the way to go here.
Player positions (game average) versus Bournemouth... Trent is a little higher than Robbo but that is 433 all day long I'd have posted a heat map for Robbo if I could find one; he was in high wide positions quite a bit and definitely not operating as a third CB.
