It’s sod’s law that they scored from it (right in the corner!) and that it was the only goal of the game. I do feel for her. They shouldn’t highlight it as Spain were just the better team and gave themselves better opportunities to score more.

disappointed she didn't rush back towards the right back position or somewhere defensive after losing the ball. first thing she did was the "poor me, it isn't fair" gesture, which wasted seconds, and then she walked.

It wasn't "poor me". It was letting her team mates know that there was no movement for her. (which is why she ended up taking a touch or two too many imo.

I think she was hoping for a free kick, it was a big mistake to go head down on that run though.

Not watched any of it, but they can hopefully not feel too down on themselves for long. They have achieved a lot because of the inspiration they have given to many young kids to follow in their footsteps. In that sense they have much more. Unlucky this time, there will be other chances.

    Bronze was utter dog ****.

Clearly has an over inflated opinion on how good she actually is, her performance was rank. As was her attitude.

    IMO.

Nope, she made a poor decision and ran into traffic in a packed central midfield then lost the ball. Then waved her arms about like it was somebody else’s fault.

Look where she is when the ball hits the back of the net, near the halfway. She made no attempt what so ever to get back and help out.

Every time she got the ball she either lost it or gave away a foul.

Worst player on the pitch by a mile.

That's awful, what should be one the happiest moments of her life will be tainted by this horrible news. Hope she gets all the support she needs.

    That’s pretty impressive
15 walking out and only 3 coming back

For Spain the victory comes after a hugely difficult year in which 15 players walked out in protest against the Spanish football federation and the head coach, Jorge Vilda. Only three of them returned for this tournament and there were no signs of their off-field woes ending despite winning the World Cup with the team’s official Twitter account posting “Vilda in” over a picture of the divisive leader kissing the trophy.

Vilda would not be drawn on his future after the game. He said: “We’re going to celebrate the World Cup and go back to Spain. Then we’ll see. I’ve always said that if all the suffering was necessary to become world champions, it would be worth it.

“It’s been difficult at a personal level in management, but at a sporting level we’ve achieved results that we’ve never achieved before. I am very happy that we are champions of the world.”

Interesting reading on here and social media about Spain's cheating when it came to time wasting.

    Really. Wow.
Odd then that several others were subbed, not her.
Sounds like you have some agenda going on here.
