The owners of City have said NB can have the money to buy players, so who would we buy to improve the team
Nick Barmby is a name that could attract players to the club. Maybe need another player as cover at the back, a striker and someone to add some bite to the midfield. Not sure on any names though.
I see on the BBC website Celtic are interested in Jordan Rhodes, if he went north of the border maybe Hooper might be surplus to requirements, and be a not a bad punt.
I'd like to see us put a bid in for Lucian Becchio. He is EXACTLY what we need and as has already been proven Bates is open to selling his stars.
We all seem agreed we need a striker, an in-form one would be good, may have to over-pay for that. It will be interesting to see how Nick plays the strikers and how they are supported. He will have his own ideas on that and how the dressing room talks when the manager (Pearson) was not around. So we may get a lot more out of the trio we have for a while. Don't know enough of the league at the moment to name anyone for Jan.
I agree he has done well at Wednesday, but I hear he is a bit of a handfiul to manage, and with NB just starting out in his management career, to have a bit of a handful to manage might not be the best move at this stage.
We need to sign a winger, whether that be Brady or someone else. Hobbs and Fryatt will be interesting to watch over the next couple of weeks, we could well need a new CB and ST too! There's not much wrong with the team, but a ST who knows where the goal is would be lovely!
Ideally two strikers and a holding midfielder. We won't keep Waghorn now so he will need replacing and although the last few games have shown that Adebola gives us much of what we're lacking up front he is still far too slow, so a faster version of him would really help. We also need to monitor whether Gulacsi has improved enough to be retained.
He's only ever been convicted of assault and there's just the one arson charge hanging over him now, I'm sure he'll be fine.
I guess it will dpeend on any injuries as to who we bring (and hopefully not who's gone, with the exception of the fringe players). I'm not sure if we'd be able to tempt many players away from our Championship rivals up near the top but maybe someone like Billy Sharp or any of the better players from the likes of Watford, Coventry, Barnsley or Bristol City could maybe fancy a move here if we offered the right money? Other than that we'll be looking at League 1 or loans from the Premier League again. Or there might be a cheeky buy from the premier league in there!
although I dont really agree but i am sure City will put in a cheeky bid for Brady, but we could well end up paying over-the-odds for someone who isnt yet 'ready'
Gulacsi seemed more confident against West Ham even though we did go down 2-0. First half we had West Ham in our pocket while we where using Adebola as a target man. Second half for some reason we stopped doing that and Adebola was outclassed on pace by the West Ham defence.
