Used to do a lot of shore diving there, once I bought a live grenade up(unknowingly) from the harbour on the left on that photo, closed the road off until the bomb squad came and defused it, I wasn't very popular that day. Was down there last year, I see the old dive shop on the beach is no longer there.

Amazing stretch of coast there. I had the back of the plane to myself earlier so was spotting out of both sides to soak up the journey and take some pics

 

The thing was, I was sat next to it in my goodie bag for about 30 minutes, before it started fizzing

I do an event up in Dartmouth each autumn and sleep overnight down at Slapton sands, which was the scene of a tragic ww2 incident

There's a Sheman tank sitting in the car park as a tribute that was trawled off of the bottom. There must still be a few grenades buried in the shingle there too
