The change of personnel has certainly seen England improve in the second half but they haven’t really deserved to win
go look. it's patently obvious from cameras she's awake and fine but a bit cut. just killed all momentum England had and gave Spain a chance to get reorganised.
Too much trying to go around a player and losing the ball, instead of passing to a player in open space and moving into space to get the ball back as well as some dreadful passing
classic mo salah stupidity there. hold the ball up. you got it on the chest then have it but back heel rather than properly pass to retain. they can't even get near a crossing position now.
Nice to see English football disease of get big lumps is not a gender based issue. quite a few very very average hackers there.
Fact is Spain have about 10 players sat at home in protest that should have been in the squad. That's strength in depth. Its about right in terms of where women's world football is at the moment. Spain and England with Spain coming out on top.
The problem for the players who refused to go, the manager has been vindicated by winning the World Cup.
About time Pickford was punished for his reckless flinging himself out at people. He could injure someone doing it.... wait he's already done that.
Early in the season but I'd put it down to Everton and Wolves as to who takes 18th and relegated (Luton and Sheff U to be 20 & 19). Both Wolves and Everton will attempt to be solid and hard to beat, but neither has someone to score the goals and actually it doesn't really matter as they don't seem to be creating enough chances anyway. And now they've lost DCL, face injury, could be a broken Cheekbone by the looks of it.
