I am a tad disappointed that we sat back for much of the last 10-15 munites, but what can you do? 3 points is very welcome
Impressive for the first 70mins or so, but the drop in intensity was a bit disapointing at the end, it is a hot day though. We couldn’t keep a foot in the ball. Gibson worries me with the ball at his feet being encouraged to play risky balls into midfield - I think he’s made at least 1 dodgy pass to an opposition player on the edge of the box each game. Trouble is Omobamidele doesn’t look confident at left CB.
According to the BBC, after 3 games we are the top scoring team in the Championship, the 9 goals coming from 6 different players.
Nor is he a great header of the ball. He was well beaten at the Millwall corner which almost led to a Millwall goal (the one that Gunn eventually claimed).
I think we need speculation about Omobamidele’s transfer to end - if he doesn’t go then it feels like may well supplant Gibson We are the league’s top scorers now
Gibson worries me also. With ball at feet he takes too long to make a decision as to what to do, meaning options get closed down by the time he releases the ball.
Post-match honesty from Gary Rowett: "Norwich are a much better side than they were last season, they've got some very good players and I thought they played really well, but we have to make them work a lot harder than that. For me they outran us, they were quicker to the ball, they had a little more desire running into those areas and we conceded three pretty poor goals." To me, that sounds like a man who is feeling a cold Docklands wind beginning to pick up .....
Rowes kick in the face may have cost him a tooth. I'm sure he spat one out while kneeling on the ground. He, along with Sarge, Dimi and Gabby are in the Who Scored team of the week. Not bad. Sara scored 8.9, next best player got 7.9, Sarge and Jonno 7.8 each.
