The conversation kinda flowed into this because I noticed people were answering regarding their own mentality because they didn't read the questions perhaps? It's all good we can think what we like it's your entitlement to do so.. I just make an observation and if I'm wrong who cares. You on the other hand said I was talking crap because you claimed mentality can be bought.
My initial comments were about the players and staff and I explained it will take time for them to get to a point where they believe they are no.1. You then turned it into a pointed 'Newcastle fans don't believe' view, not me. And yes, I stand by the fact that mentality can be bought. As I also said, some have it naturally, but some need outside support (psychology help or coaching - which usually costs money). Then there is the 'buying' of success in terms of resources (a la Man City), which gives them quality and thetefore success and a winning mentality (as also pointrd out by Trev).
Exactly you agreed with me and then the conversation changed and became about you suggesting I wasn't allowing people to enjoy the journey. I created a topic of discussion and unfortunately it wasn't well received. Mentality cannot be bought it comes from within. It's all dandy.
I was actually tempted to do another thread asking whether you were all happy and if you're enjoying the journey, but I feared you might tell me to shut up because your tea was just fine and you were happy with it.
Indeed we are. The way they celebrated suggests that they respected us. We have to remember that They are 10 years plus ahead of us. The fact that we are disappointed with the result speaks volumes.
