As I said, the law is bonkers. Until VAR came along, handball had to be deliberate to be an offence, so the ref had to judge whether there was any intent. Since VAR that rule has been twisted out of recognition of what actually happens to the human body in motion, and makes no sense whatsoever.
Ha that should have been a red, looked like the ref went to her pocket then stopped when she realised the player was already on a yellow. Did anyone else see her do that or was it a figment of my imagination?
If we’re following **** laws of the game. That should have been a second yellow for kicking the ball away. Looked like the ref was going to until she realised she was already on one too.
We are snatching our passes and shooting too much. Pressure of the final has got to us to be honest… no shame in it but we are nowhere near our best
At least this side have won something, but they haven’t turned up today. Still time to turn it around, but as things stand it is a deserved defeat.
Agreed. Spain settled into their game quite quickly. We looked like we let the occasion get in our heads a bit. Must also be difficult to have so little of the ball when we’re usually so dominant in possession.
