According to Pep Guardiola Manchester City cannot spend money the way Chelsea are because City would be dead.
Caicedo was £70m, and no more. We've now shown our desperation - everyone thinks we'll pay 50% over the odds after that £111m bid now. We need to walk away from this window or buy in Europe or S America. We've walked into Waitrose with our Netto card - for once, I'm beginning to side with FSG. £43m is more than enough for Doucoure. Certainly all we could/should afford.
£70m for Doucoure is almost as ridiculous as £46m for Lavia. Market is totally mad. How long can prices keep going up like this?
Thing is all 3 of the dms were signed for 4m,10m and 2 respectively and after only 1 year are now ‘worth’ 110m 60m and apparently 70m. Now I know if we went and got a load of unknowns for 5m people would lose their **** that fsg are being tight.. but it shows there is value out there just have to take a bit more of a risk. Yes also easier for those player to break through at those prem clubs that went to, but wouldn’t hurt us to sign some of these players and loan them to prem clubs for a season to help develop. We need to start taking a few more risks with these younger players before they move to mid table clubs and go from a 5m player to 50m player
fernandez offered to us for 15mil is the kind of **** bag wind up Chelsea love but for all we know ow it could be true. we buy 14 year olds we do not go in for ex man city academy players as we would be blocked from them and we don't go buy 18 and 19 year okds from South America. we do not take risks and do not have a formal loan agreement of seconds clubs like Chelsea and City do

Gravenberch seems like a player with potential but most accounts seem to suggest is a great on the ball but bit of a liability off it. Still young but can we afford a luxury attacking midfielder at this moment in time?
She's the most expensive women's footballer ever. God knows how much she'd have been worth if she was a man
