On the BBC player ratings Haaland get the lowest score for City His most ineffective game so far That's down to our back 4
On the other hand. Get some tough games out the way early when 1 game a week before the CL kicks in and have to rotate a bit more. Haven’t seen what fixtures are like after each CL game but they are often be tricky ones. If you get some nice home and away fixtures then compensates the tricky start
This is the thing for me I think Newcastle defended well.. man City didn't create much themselves... it was an awful watch.
Dunno like, he got in a few times and scuffed it, he just had a poor game, apart from the Schar tackle.
Indeed but you can't afford to lose 3 or 4 in the 1st month considering we lost 5 all season last season. I'd rather have had a couple of easier games but if we can win the next 2 I'll be delighted. I think our bubble could burst I think confidence is under estimated.
Bit you drew a hell of a lot. Better to lose 8 and draw 2 and win 5 then lose 5 drawn 8 and win 2 (exaggerated i know). Not sure can use city away as a benchmark. Even at our best we always struggled there so
I am most angry about us not lumping it into the area with 10 seconds left, we passed it around the back and let the ref blow for full time, ****ing amateur hour that.
I'm not it's a game most sides will lose more miserably. I'm simply saying you don't want your 1st four games to be Villa City Pool and Brighton if your being honest neither would anyone.
Not idea but you’ll be expected to win your 2 home games. Not too dissimilar to ours obviously chelsea and Bournemouth not quite as bad as City and Brighton. Think both our teams be expected to win both home and lose both away so a draw in the away games be a bonus. Chelsea A Bournemouth H Newcastle A Villa H
I wouldn’t be surprised to see us with 1 won and 3 losses from our first 4. It’s such a mismatched side, players like Longstaff replacing Tonali. It’s such a huge downgrade.
No don't agree with that, we were losing 4 nil against Arsenal and you knew what happened then, maths goes out the window when that equaliser went in!
Tonali was the best of the midfield 3 again, big joe bruno need to pull their fingers out their arse a bit. Taking too long on the ball and some **** passing.
Depends really because Liverpool are regardless of last season still a far superior side and club. I think Liverpool got a tough start though but I'll not change my view that our 1st 4 were far from ideal.
