Very smooth player going forward, and improving game by game, he and Neil are starting to form a good mid field pairing, the future looks bright.

Hate posting anything negative, especially after a win, but it was Ekwah who lost his man for their goal

    Its the result we needed.

Chronic start mind, far too many touches per pass and almost non-existent movement. You could see Rotherham grow in confidence and it was no shock when they took the lead. To our credit, our heads didn't go down and crucially we got straight back in to it. Over the moon for Jobe to get his first goal for us. We then looked to be positive and had the better of it, a good move ended with Clarke cutting inside and bending one that unfortunately was a bit too high. We came out second half and continued to get at them. The goal is well worked, but what a cool head in the moment from Bradley Dack to recognise the space for Jobe and its a lovely stroked finish into the corner.

We looked more than capable of killing them off and it was nice to see some of the play have that element of swagger we saw for large parts of last season. We didn't get the third but nor did I feel under any real pressure from them to equalise. A special mention to O'nien and Ballard second half who firstly dealt with Hugills thuggery and then later with Eaves. Perhaps if the latter worried about the ball rather than wrestling his opponent he might manage a goal for his club.

Its three points and although we all probably expected them today, its a platform for us to build on.

Delighted with the win and it will have done the team’s confidence the world of good. Love the clever assist by Dack and Jobe will feel great after those goals.

Enjoy your evening lads. We’re in Ambleside for my wife’s birthday and just about to go out.

    Get in lads,

3 points and a decent performance.

Special mention to the clown behind me who slagged everything and everyone off first half . I asked at the end of the game of he was going to be such a dick all season and his answer was....... yes

    Happy days

Agree with this, thought Neil was very good today. Still not 100% convinced on the idea of Hume coming into the midfield so often, think we look more threatening when him and cirkin overlap and don’t leave Clarke/Roberts with 3 men to beat alone. Big and deserved win, happy days

    cheers again RTB......

strange game, very very slow first half, players looking unsure of where to be or go..was always expecting them to score first despite doing very little.

grew more into it towards the end of the half but really began to speed it up in the 2nd, especially after the 2nd goal.

dack seemed to change his position every five minutes, certainly seems to be 'getting there' with some very good touches but probably still too quiet.

obvious MotM to Jobe, not only the goals but some very good play in the middle, onien had a decent game and dan neil was everywhere, still prefer ekwah more forward, clarke and roberts struggling to get moving but so far teams are doubling up on them, we need to find the extra man when that happens, can't complain at anyone today apart from the slow start but that was pretty much all of them.

referee, while no 'game changing errors' this week, i was wondering why a lad grabs and pulls cirkins arm 2 or 3 times and no foul, yet cirkin fights to keep the ball and gives a foul away (there were a few instances like this), not saying any of the fouls against us were wrong but just want to see it the same for both teams and sadly today it was not.

Over the moon with the 3 points but mobray has pissed me off with his team selection and his in game management. Don’t want to be seeing jobe up top and dack everywhere bar the important parts of the pitch.

thought dack looks a great player tho and I think he’s gona be a massive favorite here for someone who’s not ment to be fit he covered every blade of grass today.

Dack impressed me today, some lovely touches and got everywhere.

Curious formation and appears that jobe and dack swapped roles.

Some great tackles today as well
