Nothing to lose but I guess the balance is what do we gain from playing both Dack and Jobe instead of just one of them. Not saying I agree with it but there might be conscious thought here. Especially if Rotherham sit deep and Hemir isnt quite ready to use his physicality then we might literally be approaching this from needing a bit of craft to break through or score from outside the box. Essentially a la Amad. (fwiw I'd have played Hemir both last week and this week).
I see social media has gone into meltdown because of the team selection. TM and O9 getting lots of pelters
I'm not having a go at anybody, in fact I completely understand the points of view (if not the veracity of how some fans are making their points) - but the irony of "FFS Mowbray you're not playing our striker" coming from the mouths of people saying "FFS Speakman give Mowbray a Championship-ready striker" is ironic. I know I know there's nuance and people want more strikers. Its just ironic that we do have one that people write off as not being ready and then those same people are annoyed the written off striker isnt playing
Negativity before a game was common place when we were struggling to stay in the Premiership and falling through the Championship, but WTF why now? I’m glad the players have more positivity, and probably most of the supporters who are in the ground. HTL
it was my biggest fear when we overperformed last season. people will be demanding promotion every championship season from now on, and with our club the mood of our fans massively seems to affect the trajectory of our club as somebody who doesnt know any sunderland fans socially, I just have to hope what I read on the internet isnt the consensus
I was thinking he might move O/9 into a defensive midfield role to accommodate Danny Batth, but it looks like he is out of favour for some reason, pity as he was a rock last season at the heart of the defence, slow or not he knows the position. We are too open to the counter attack and it is a weakness especially at home whaich the whole division are aware of, and once these type of teams get ahead they are a devil to break down so first goal will be important to-day.
Football is all about opinions and forums are the place to express opinions. In my view Mowbray and his team know more about how our players are in training, more about the opposition and will have worked out a game plan and picked his team to execute that plan, so my faith is in Mowbray. Ha'way, clean sheet and a win KTF
I struggle to understand why players do what hes just done so early in a game knowing fine well it well get them a Yellow.
Not surprised that clown can’t tell the difference between our players. One of the worst journalists I’ve ever came across
Footballers really are stupid at times. They've been told that if they kick the ball away it's a booking and Hume did it now Cirkin! Do they ever bloody learn?
