I would agree with Norway. No chance with our bunch of self serving PL clubs. What, cut the number of games when they could be ripping off the punters?

Cant see it happening Barry everyone in the prem isnt going to welcome an increased chance of falling out of it! I think the EPL would fight that suggestion also other major leagues in europe would have to be cut too , I cant see everyone agreeing to it!

Also, Barca may get their way in Spain by the reserves playing their own league rather than in La Segunda, but we don't have that leeway.

N, Thanks for asking, things are reasonably good.

All of you, if this http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15748287.stm actually happens, what will it mean for the FL?

If that happens then teams like ours will not stand a chance!!! You look this year, we have West ham, Brighton and Saints all with money spent and to spend. Then we have other teams all challenging for promotion which make this one of the toughest leagues in the world, and the most exciting!! If we then added teams like Wigan, Blackburn, Bolton, Everton to the mix and it makes it impossible for our little team to break into the prem. It proves the PL and Uefa are trying for an elite super league!!!

Probably means a PL2 with five teams kicked out of the PL and only one going up (as a sop) and then the next 11 in the championship forming up with aforementioned five to make PL2.

And damn the rest with only one up/down, but through a play-off with the bottom club with a second leg always at the PL2 club.

With 2 divisions of 16 that will make a nice FA Cuo as well with only PL clubs allowed into it.

Evening Yorkie, nice to see that you have been let out of Faulty Towers.

I will also be in Leeds very briefly in early December. Hope to get out safely. ;)

Morning all - Mild start to the day in West West London at +10C. Nasty smash in the roadworks this morning, still just another 18 months until it is finished and the fun begins - anyone have any experience of "hard shoulder running" in action?

Really need a coffee this morning to keep me going until tonight - little Miss W_Y cannot wait to meet our Ben!
