I miss the good old days when someone was knocking on my door trying to buy my house with an offer far below its value when it wasn't even for sale.
I see it as win win. Have a good window and we'll likely be better to watch for the season, but if we have a bad one then we likely get a second championship season
I don’t really see anyone having a melt down? I’m certainly not. As Libby said, it’s a win-win in a lot of ways. (But I do think we really need to get a move on if we want to do well.) To be honest, if I’m angry about anything, it’s that none of the players feel any responsibility for getting us relegated. I knew it was coming after it happened before, but it’s still infuriating to see players that took us down piss off at the first sign of interest. I guess one of the reasons we went down in the first place was a huge lack of character. So it’s no real surprise. We had a squad full of bell ends, basically. If Che wants to go to Everton, fair play
Whether you chose to worry about it now or September, it’s not going to make a difference. if you wait to worry in September, there might not be anything to worry about
I think people being on edge is understandable given recent experience and the fact we have sold two of our best players in the last week plus the only current rumours are 35 goals worth of players being linked away with two weeks to go, with the only incoming being delayed and no other substantial rumours. But the big positive and negative is that there are two weeks to go…….
This is what rankles with me - when we get relegated it is clear the players who cannot wait to leave feel that it wasn't their fault but the club, the way it was run, the coaching - if we won the league it would have been their fantastic skills and play. I wouldn't want any of them in a proper work situation when the company was up against it.
