After the sickener of Tuesday's last-minute defeat we have a chance to get back to winning ways. Holden has some difficult decisions to make- does he persist with the 2 18-year-olds Asiimwe and Anderson or bring in Kirk and McGrandles? My guess is the former, but I expect Kanu to replace Payne. The kids are improving and I think they will come good and repay Holden's faith in them. Without our Academy we'd be well and truly f*cked.
It has been said that Alfie May is now out injured. If the kids end up losing matches too often after giving their all, they will lose confidence and heart. We badly need a win. Shocking to have to say that on 18th August.
Am concerned if so. May has a period out, we struggle, he comes back in and does not score goals. I can see it happening.
I've been willing to take a point from both of our previous games (after believing we really should have had enough to actually beat Newport). Lost Lost I've lost my appetite for Mystic Meggery.
I've started referring to myself in the third person Today Not606, tomorrow the World! No, I read it on Dick's forum
Did you guys not learn from Tuesday ? Still far too much optimism on here. We will lose. Again. Our squad is more threadbare than Adam and Eve and contains more injured people than the Aintree weighing room after the Grand National.
