My slight concern is that when Baz was asked if the mystery signing was more impressive than Twine - he said along the lines of ‘in my option I believe so’…hardly a ‘100%, without a doubt! This one will make everyone sit up and take notice’
To be fair to Baz he can't really be that effusive about mystery man as the way the question was worded was in direct comparison to Twine. He can't exactly say that the new guy pisses on the guy we've just signed can he? Also think we need to be realistic in our expectations. It probably won't be Dele Alli for example.
@Howdentiger2 now is the time to take advantage of your foggy brain after the anaesthetic a little clue on the name you guessed pretty please
Im 99% certain it’s Yunus Akgun. That’s second hand info from someone who works at one of the biggest sport agencies who has been contracted to help out on his move to Leicester. He has definitely been talking to us and his opinion is we are the probably the preferential choice for both Galatasaray and the player himself. After having looked him up a bit he definitely ticks all the boxes other than being English, which I don’t think has ever been claimed about this particular ‘socks off’ deal anyway.
Quill (Will) on THAB pod knows who it is and reckons he's English. Scroll to 28mins on the most recent episode (its been posted on this thread twice already) Obviously we'll have other irons in the fire though so what you've been told may well be correct. Just don't think it's the one.
I hadn’t heard of him either but when you google him and look at the clubs that have been tracking him and attempted to sign him over the last few years he clearly has something about him. He definitely looks a very exciting prospect particularly at this level.
The noises come from Baz and the club just don't seem to line up with him. Maybe he's one we're tracking if Rak-Sakyi goes elsewhere
The response does seem to suggest the idea of it being a bigger signing than Twine could be debatable, hopefully that means a young player with bags of potential, but not necessarily a big name to the average football fan.
