You are missing the point there. I knew he wasn't going to LFC I was speculating where he might go. If he'd not agreed to go to real and havertz and mount deals got done he would have ende dup there given the ego trip going on. the fee to real and the wages reported are nothing that lfc couldn't have matched easily.
Mito this is just one of your posts, there are lots more. Doesn't look like 'speculation' to me. You were as clear about where you said he was going as you were as to where he wasn't going.
Well I could believe that. only today Telegraph journalist Luke Edwards speaking on Transfer Gossip Daily about whether Liverpool will pip Manchester United to sign Sofyan Amrabat: "Sofyan Amrabat has become a podcast favourite for us. He has been heavily linked with Manchester United given Erik ten Hag knows him from Utrecht. But United have a cash problem as they try to sell players to balance the books. They have been trying to low ball Fiorentina and bid £20m for him. "Meanwhile, Liverpool have been in a mess this summer and it was embarassing for them to miss out so publicly on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia. Can they salvage something? Having been gazumped by Chelsea, they have an opportunity to gazump United and Amrabat would be a decent player. "They are also interested in Cheick Doucoure at Crystal Palace - but we can't pretend these are anything other than consolation prizes. Perhaps though, it would pacify supporters who are disgruntled and a manager who is agitated. They need to strengthen their midfield and it looks like they might do that by luring a player from United. "A word of caution - Amrabat has been linked with a lot of clubs so somebody is obviously really good at getting his name out there. He is obviously after a move but those performances at the World Cup are an indication how good a player he is." Edwards here is clearly trying to click bait utd and LFC fans with his interview. a bit to hook every type but then finishes with the classic way of sitting on the fence. Its all a load of bollocks but just in case i'm going to say he's really good
I'm glad you are so attentive That's not definitive BTW its in response to a rag story and me highlighting who made it up first.. oh sorry said it first
He's closer to a replacement for Milner from what I've read. So a 51 year old replaced by a 30 year old probably is progress. Can cover CB too.
Yes, and sounds like Andre is very likely for January, so we'll have the younger replacement already lined up.
From the bench. I'm not a fan of players going straight into the team without at least a week of preparation with the current team.
I agree with all that, and from what I've read, Endo sounds like the kind of player who has slipped under the radar a long while. Captain of his national team, was playing in Asian leagues until fairly late in his career when he was discovered and immediately made the step up to the bigger leagues with no fuss. Sounds like a solid player who won't do anything spectacular but will be a reliable cog in the machine (if everything I have read about him is true). Only problem with him is his age, but we can get a few seasons out of him.
Japanese people tend to age well, but also dont tend to do so well in the Premier League. Only one I can remember who was HALF decent, and thats being kind, is Shinji Kagawa.
Yes, although the positive is, he's from the German league and did well, and I think that tends to translate better to England than some of the other European leagues. It's a matter of wait-and-see to see how he actually performs. In general Klopp has done a lot better in the transfer market than any other Liverpool manager in recent memory.
hang on a moment. I thought the argument made about bellingham not coming being ok was that german league players look **** after moving anyway (see sancho, werner etc) which is it?
I know what it was in response to but you were using it to back up what you'd said. I'm not that attentive btw, I just did a search with your name and you had four pages of comments re. Bellingham Chelsea. Anyway I'm leaving it here. I'm not looking for an argument, just backing up what saint said because I shared the same memory. All's good.
I’m always wary of stats that show defensive attributes in a poor team. A DCM in a poor team will obviously have to tackle/intercept more than one who has to read the game and cut out every single ball/run and cover more expansive team mates.
Said further up that it'll be his agent pushing it to get United off their arses. We had our chance in January when we were even more desperate than now and swerved it. And, with paying £21m including add-ons for Endo, that's two-thirds of what an Amrabat option would have been, and he turns 27 next week. Can't see us getting both of those with that profile.
