I mentioned Diangana a couple of months ago as someone we should look at as there was an article about West Brom needing to sell. He’d cost a bit and wages wouldn’t be cheap either but he was highly-rated at West Ham and Mark Noble was furious when they sold him to West Brom. Just hasn’t worked out for him at West Brom recently.
True but he’s back in training apparently and not playing hasn’t dissuaded us before. There’s cheaper and less-risky options though so it’s probably not him.
I think this is a good deal for Boro in terms of money. He’s 27, soon-to-be 28 in October, and last season was the only prolific season in his entire career and the first season he’s scored more than 10 league goals. £10.5 million plus add-ons is good business for them.
