I get that someone had to make way for Stokes' return to the ODI squad, but I'm very surprised that it's Brook.

I'm also not too convinced at what Willey will offer on Indian wickets when it comes to the WC. (But then again, there's an outside chance that for the second WC in a row, he might miss out to Jofra at the last minute - this ODI for NZ isn't guaranteed to be the WC squad.)

Top bowling effort. But on this wicket, that will still take some chasing. In theory Birmingham could bowl 80 balls of (decent) spin if they want.

The future of Hants cricket is in very good hands...

in five years time not including overseas players...

Middleton
Prest (C)
Albert
Donald
Ekelund (WK)
Organ
Currie
Turner
Jack
Crane
Campbell

Weatherley, Wheal and Kelly also.

Now my attention is starting to turn to NRR. It's quite a big gap between us and Leicester - but if we can keep these wickets coming (Masood especially), we could eat right into it.

But getting the win is still the most important thing.

Is there a team that has better forma than Hampshire un both forma of white-ball.cricket than Hampshire over the past ten years? I think not! The trick is to turn that dominance to.the County Championship.and win a first title since 1972?
