I think he's class, but Madrid knew his legs had gone. And, as I say, he's playing in an absolutely unforgiving position. Think I remember Lampard, by nature an AM, playing there against us at that age (it may have even been the Gerrard slip match). They interviewed him afterwards and he said he'd never worked so hard in his life. He staggered off. Casemiro just wilted in the 7-0 game. He's a flat-track bully now. Fab has gone the same way. Hopefully German football hasn't done the same to Endo's legs yet, because I give him one season in there in the Prem at his age, then he'll be an auxiliary CB at best. Still, not whining - if he does a job for 2 seasons at that fee we musn't grumble.
ther3s nothing wrong with being a class but cannot run, rotund has been I never once denigrated the skills thst he has that have not faded. its.just he's rotund little face and he cannot cover the ground
I posted the quote from Joyce denying that we had bid £60m for Lavia and had it accepted because you claimed Joyce is the most reliable with LFC news. The Southampton fella said we did have a bid accepted but he didn't say how much it was and certainly didn't mention £60m so it isn't a matter of public record. I only post what I read because, like everyone else on here, I have no personal knowledge of the ins and outs of club dealings. I'm hoping Klopp is asked the question tomorrow to clear things up. We could end up with a Martinez situation where he claimed he was offered the manager job and turned it down and Ayre categorically denied he had been offered the job which leaves people to choose who they want to believe.
so the journalist joyce or the direct quote from the director of football of Southampton. which should I go with? cos one is wrong.
Palace want £70m. We think we can get him at a 'snip' for £58m. ****ing thanks, Chelsea. Apart from taking our main summer target you've distorted the market to a point that a £30m player at most is seen as a bargain at almost double that price. And, you've made us show our hand that we have £111m to chuck about, just like when Baca were trying to plead poverty when buying Coutinho, days after they'd reluctantly banked £200m for Neymar a week before. We should have done our shopping last summer when Tchumainae knocked us back and Chelsea were over the show during their takeover. We've basically gone out now into a sellers' market as there's a lottery winner in town.
£70m! ffs. This market is getting insane! He is a decent player, but I wouldnt pay £70m for him. Then again I wouldnt have paid £115m for Caicedo either so what do I know.
You're the one who said Joyce is the most trusted with LFC news so it's for you to decide. Btw if the offer wasn't £60m then both are right.
He is REALLY not worth it. From what I've seem he's a dive in form anywhere mad man in the mould of sissoko. Yes we should always buy when the money is there not wait as inflation only go one way isn't it?
I'm going to hazard a guess that you know you wouldn't have paid £115m for Caicedo and wouldn't pay £70m for Doucoure
He's the most trusted VOICE OF LFC (as in will say what he is told to say) When he says something you are hearing what the club wants you to hear. all of these guys are quite happy to let the Bellingham stuff build over 18months than immediately drop the walking away line. It kept all the fans very happy speculating over a player I knew for sure 100% was never ever playing for LFC. (don't ask how i knew that) Its all a game out there. all propaganda from either side. Certain people have been bad actors in driving the all players choose Chelsea over LFC lines etc. They quite like the opportunity to make it sound like footballing reasons.
Gertcha - you stated with absolute certainty several times that he was going to Cheslea. Completely wrong yet still claim the win - well played.
