Good Morning. It's Thursday 17th August, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Such a situation will never happen again The powers that be at Leeds Utd had obviously had a quiet word with Daniel Farke before his pre-match press conference yesterday lunchtime. He refused to be drawn into conversations, regarding the more politically sensitive goings on at Elland Road; that is, until the end, when he suddenly exploded into life. Up until that point, Farke had done well, deflecting attention away from the Summer giveaway spectacular, opting to follow instructions to only discuss the forthcoming match against West Brom. Hook, line, sinker (and copy of the Angling times), Farke just couldn't help himself when questioned whether he had ever seen anything like this before? He told his eagerly awaiting audience that we had to accept what was done in the past, but such a situation will never be repeated! "I am sure no other club in Europe had this situation with contracts. We have to learn from it. It was done in the past, and we have to accept it. Such a situation will not happen again.” please log in to view this image Should Farke have kept his mouth shut Farke's closing statement, whilst refreshing to hear, shows a degree of contempt towards his employers, but who can blame him - This is not what he signed up to! Nobody could have predicted the sheer incompetence of the Elland Road board, for which 49ers Enterprises have to take their fair share of responsibility. They have been actively involved in all decision making since 2018, and given their experience running sporting entities, it's difficult to comprehend how they could have been so mind numbingly thick! Farke's words "Such a situation will never happen again" are obviously not his own; he has merely repeated what he has been told. It's a shame we had to hear it from the coach, not our owners!!! please log in to view this image Duo may now stay Luis Sinisterra and Tyler Adams may remain at Elland Road after it was revealed that their release clauses ran out easier in the week. The news comes from Athletic journalist Phil Hay, who was given the information from an unnamed Elland Road insider! It still doesn't mean that the duo will definitely be staying, but at least if they do go, the club are finally able to secure decent prices for their star assets. Unsurprisingly, Bournemouth have now backed out of the deal to buy the USA skipper please log in to view this image
Morning all from the sun trap. I’ve little doubt if there aren’t dramatic improvements at Leeds in terms of recruitment, Farke will walk. I’d say he won’t be around in October. The guy is a respected coach with a quality cv and he won’t want it tarnished by hanging around the **** show that is as usual Leeds. Why would he. The bad news is the local pub here is showing the damn Leeds game tomorrow night so can’t escape the misery even on holidays. Must remember to dose myself with drink beforehand and do a shaks on it. Make sure I can’t see it
Not what Farke signed up for? It’s exactly what he signed up for! Both Marathe and Farke have taken every opportunity to throw the previous regime under a bus. Now what they say is probably true but…but it buys them time…
Morning all Orta was responsible for the contracts his boss was Radz, I'll hit the 49ers when I believe they are at fault but I don't believe they had any say over the contracts and crazy loan situation. Either way it's done and if they did know about it, they will learn, Farke knew of the situation before joining. Sadly it's become obvious that we can't spend much before recouping, the ball is in our court now regarding Adams and Sinisterra. The dream outcome for me would be sell Gnonto and buy a couple of players that Farke wants and hope Adams and Sinisterra can be persuaded to remain. If we can get a bit more by selling a few we don't need like Firpo then great, although I think time is running out for him. A fully fit Leeds squad with Summerville, Sinisterra, Ampadu and Adams in the team suddenly looks quite strong. If we could sell Willy and bring in two new faces all the better, throw in a top class loan we'll be okay Crunch time now though and it all depends on who is leaving for cash and who is staying, at least the loans have finished. I'll panic if the 49ers don't support Farke in the next two weeks, it seems the date for the loan clauses to pass has been the major stumbling block leaving Farke and the 49ers in the unknown
Let's see if anyone comes in with some greenbacks for our 'stars' now the Poundland loans have supposedly run out of time...Adams current international 45 million...the willy same 30, sini 30 that is at normal clubs though could be 20% off at least at 'stupid leeds' ....but I am in no doubt that farke is the best we could have got under the present situation that we yet again lurch into, of course lessons will be learned till the next time we successfully get into another fine mess that we seem to make a habit of .... at least orta has got himself another role besides dof at Seville, he is Tonto's new partner the loan arranger
Morning all If players don't want to be here then ship them out. Adams doesn't want to be here so ship him out. Gnonto doesn't want to be here then ship him out. Sini doesn't want to be here so ship him out. This ****ing stupid stance the 49ers have of having a core of players they want to keep and holding on to them like a child with a teddy is pointless. Take the £20 million off Everton and get rid of Willy. The 49ers need to come out and tell us what the plans for the next 2 weeks are apart from letting players go and bringing up more kids and losing matches. Blah Blah FFP, Blah blah balancing the books. Is there not a free market out there across Europe and the world?
Good morning I don't think i've ever been less excited to go to a match than the one tomorrow. I do wonder what the details in the disagreement over Sinisterra's contract are. The last thing we need is to be sued by another player.
Adam Pope, BBC Radio Leeds Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has been speaking to the media before the Whites host West Brom in the Championship on Friday. Here are the key lines from his news conference: He says there are some legal aspects re: Luis Sinisterra's contractual situation so they are awaiting for an outcome. He, unlike Wilfried Gnonto, has a release clause. Both players and Helder Costa are training away from the main group and are not involved in the dressing room. Farke says with regard to the contract situations the club is in a stronger position as the window goes on. He sill expects to have a competitive squad come the end of August. He added: "It’s not my place to speak about the financial situation. But there are some rules. We know we have to bring in some players." Asked if there is still time to strengthen, he said: "Yes, 100%." He says the size of the group "is too small in numbers. We’re working behind the scenes and are fully convinced we’re doing the right things." In terms of team news. Sam Greenwood is available while Leo Hjelde is out with concussion. Sonny Perkins no longer ill. Farke reminded us that he will only include players if they show the correct attitude in training. Midfielder Tyler Adams who has been linked with Bournemouth after a move to Chelsea fell through, we are told by the club, has trained today Farke says "no one tells me who I can pick or don’t pick. It’s totally up to me to make the decisions."
Good afternoon fellow sufferers. I just hope that Farke stays and helps us sort this almighty mess out, because if he doesn't, and we get in a less qualified coach, well, you think were on a downward spiral at the moment. Anyway on a more positive note, from what i have read/heard now the player fiasco is near an end, he seems Fairley optimistic about getting a competitive squad together, so their is some hope on the Horizon. We shall soon see one way or another.
Forest have told Lewis O'Brien that he can go on loan to a Championship club after turning down a loan deal proposed by sheff utd. They don't want him gone to a relegation rival. O'Brien can play at 8 or 10 and would take alot of the weight off young Archie Grays shoulders. Seems a really simple deal to get done. He wouldn't even have to move house.
See if you can get a nice new shiny shirt on loan, for free, then return it a little worse for wear at the end of the season...
