OR he only has Bundesliga to worry about as he's coming from a struggling side with little to no other commitments. the other thing is few suspensions. Basically though you are right about age. The age tips a lot of folk into some despair or something despite never have seen him. a very brief look at transfermarkt tells us that he played 33 out of 34 games last year with one out due to concussion and he picked up a sum total of 3 while making 5 assists and scoring 5 goals. played 2925minutes The season before was remarkably similar. plays 33 out of 34 with one absence for corona. again 4 yellows toal and 4 goals and 2 assists. played 2902 minutes and again the season before was again 33 out of 34 with this time him being a very naughty boy and getting 5 yellows and a suspension for the final game of the season. 3 goals, 4 assists playing 2957 minutes theres no real cups runs i nthat so this does suggest a "less intense" amount of games but his "minutes" would be up there with players playing for top clubs. some exmaples form last season. Rodri. The bestest most wordie class DM on the planet according to city fans. 2920 minutes winning the treble. (thats prem only now.) 4476 mint total Caicedo 3140 minutes in the prem last season (37 games) If the guy is able for the pace (need to wait and see) And the guy is able for the physicality (who knows, this i suspect is one of the major issues in peoples heads) And he is not just another nice to have but no tackles kind of player (doesn't seem to foul much) Then maybe yes you bridge form now to bajectic is an adult. But none of this will stop LFC fans demanding the full 111mil spend.
Maybe bajectic and thaigo will be. I sincerely doubt we throw him in but it would be a home game and possible for last 15mins but seriously folks. its far too big an ask.
as an example however Thiago was signed on 18th Sept 2020. (obviously covid year and all dates are off) Debut was 21st September 2020 as sub AWAY to chelsea for henderson. It is in theory entirely possible that klopp might throw him on IF klopp sees him as actually being an option here.
I remain convinced that Amrabat is a turan type with an overactive agent. Theres no reliable links at all related to that player being on LFC radar at any point. Lets face it if Ornstien is willing to stick his head up and confirm LFC interest in Tchoumendi (probably ok'd to do so by LFC as a stunt to placate fans) but has always been silent on amrabat then we know the score. remember its Romano and his pay to tweet shot boating and the twitter generation love of a her we go mario handle plus a photoshopped picutre of player into new kit that is saying stuff.
Ftr I like the sound of him - my sort of work horse type player, we don’t need someone to light the league up we need someone who can stop **** getting to the back line, read and distribute forward effectively Will wait to see what he is like IF we get him but he does seem like he is due an injury
You just get the feeling Endo is just going to be it. The problem is if we get Endo and another DM it slows down Bajetics progress.
This is why to me Endo only makes sense if we shift Thiago, who lets be honest needs to go. 32, big wages, constant injuries, doesn't fit our team. I would also hope it doesn't stop us going for Andre or Kone in Jan. But it could see Elliott being moved into the forward line.
Once upon a time we used to laugh at entitled young fans demanding every signing be a "marquee" signing - are we all getting to that stage now? Because he's not a big name he's rubbish? I understand the disappointment because of the recent saga, the high hopes and all that - but let's give the guy a chance before writing him off. I'd just like to throw in that imo, both Caicedo and Lavia were vastly over-priced - even by today's stupid standards. And before anyone says Rice, well yeah - so was he.
agree. We’ve rarely competed with the rich boys tbh, so it should not be a surprise that we still aren’t. Milner and Hendo were never stellar players, much more industrious than flair, it didn’t stop us winning everything.
I remember people being distinctly underwhelmed by Robbo, and he became one of the best LBs in the PL. I know this is different, Robbo was younger - but Endo will be no more than an experienced place-filler while we find or bring on someone for the longer term. There's nothing wrong with filling gaps with older, experienced players in this way. The right piece of the jigsaw isn't always the most brightly coloured. Let's see how he goes - provided he comes.
