It's not been on there for a while. I'm pretty sure he wants to move back to Spain at some point. Makes sense to keep him for another year and then let him leave on a free. Now that we have more bodies in midfield, we can hopefully manage his minutes a lot better plus he brings a lot of quality and experience.

We've been clearing out most of our older players and targeting younger longer terms projects, why are we buying someone who would be short term. Amrabat.. dunno maybe. 26 so its sort of inbetween, you'd get what 4-6ish years before needing a replacement if he worked out. If he was around the reported £30m then I suppose he would be an acceptable risk. But then why not go for the lad at PSV who is a year younger and has a release clause similar. That would allow for other buys this window, a RB or CB perhaps. If we were to go for a Doucoure or Florentino Luis, that would probably £70m+ for either, but both are 23 and perhaps could be top quality in a few years. Of course this would leave less to strengthen other areas.
