The lad at Palace maybe off the radar.... Chelsea have just met Elise's buy out at £35 million.. a pundit on the radio has just said tis the best bit of business Chelsea will do above every other player they have bought..
So many memories of that day...Loved it when, live on Football Focus, Paul Duffen rang the bell and it fell off the wall....Sort of thing that frequently happens at City..
If Bird is out injured and makes a deal this summer difficult, we should look at Luca Connell at Barnsley or George Thomason at Bolton. Both young holding mids who are good on the ball.
I think Palace would have expected someone to trigger Olise’s release clause and have irons in the fire already. I’d expect a replacement coming in soon and it appears that Rak-Sakyi is pushing for a loan move despite Roy wanting him to stick around this season.
I think Styles at Barnsley would be the best value for money from there, but I don’t know if we need a midfielder from there as he is very similar to Slater.
There was, but to be fair the talk then was that he and Sonny Bradley were both going to sign that very week, back in early June. Meanwhile Baz was writing that it'd be towards the end of the window that we got our big targets, including the long-term target that Acun was teasing.
Why would we need anyone atm we have simons give the lad a good run in the team, then Jan we get celi back so we could end up with 2 great players by letting them play.
In all fairness, Sonny Bradley was lined up to come back, we had held positive talks, a contract offer was made, Derby just offered him more and as he was being signed as back up to the current crop, presumably it wasn’t one we needed to press on/give much of a **** about.
We also would certainly see Greaves and Oscar leave this week, every week, for undisclosed fees that were just said to be ‘very good’. Meanwhile Baz has broken the news on every single incoming and outgoing has he not?
I'd be really disappointed at the club if they signed Bird. Will someone come in for Woods...?... we have Simons who is just 20 and looks much more of a prospect than him... defensive midfield player maybe, but where the club are going surely someone with a bit of presence about them, not someone who goes missing in a league 1 game on a Tuesday night... I wish Rosenior would stop this love in with former players... he himself is at a level above now.
Hope it's still on. I thought Rosie sounded confident of new arrivals this week. I'm beginning to wonder is we'll even have Twine in by the weekend?
We get Celi back, from Peru, in their top flight. It’s not likely he’ll be an immediate starter unless he turns out to be **** hot. Which he could, but it’s not something I’d pin all my hopes on. If Woods goes, we only have Simons. Doc is out for a while and could go, Green is very raw and like you said, Celi won’t arrive until January. An injury to Seri and we all of a sudden look short in the sitting midfield role.
As long as they sign by noon on Friday, they’ll be fine to play Saturday. No news is often good news, if it had fallen through, you’d know already.
TBF Baz should be the one breaking the most accurate and up to date things.....it's his job and he given things as and when it suits the club. The club this season have quite rightly so, kept things a lot more secret and secure. I've said since day one I just pass on what I'm told and it's up to people to do what they want with that.
Yep ditto. Baz, despite what many say, is fed accurate lines from the club, probably the only journalist that does. RH don’t get told anywhere near as much, neither do the national papers. But like people on here, he can be told one thing, and then while he’s “clicking upload”, something can change. Such is football.
I think Celi could be ****hot gonna watch his game again tonight hoping he is as good as he was few nights ago, woods does not have to go anywhere and there is still people who are coming in that can be moved around, jones can play in the middle if needed it's not urgent we get Bird or A N Other if Bird is injured and will be out for awhile.
Nah, the bell stayed on the wall but Dufen ended up with the Sally in his hand after it parted with the clapper, innuendo entirely optional. 'Some' tosser on the old boards suggested he should dedicate the ringing of the bell to those that didn't get to live to see it, kudos to Duffen for doing so.
