Great lap from Piastri, only 0.011 seconds behind Verstappen. Mercedes had an absolute mare as everyone scrambled to get their final laps in. Russell screwed up his own lap going too deep in Turn 1 which impeded Hamilton and then he proceeded to block Hamilton on the Kemmel straight
Leclerc lost 0.4 seconds in turn 9, the one that caught Stroll out. Shame, as it could/should have been two poles. Happy to see Pastry in second though.
I know what you mean. On one hand, Hunter is now happy with his contract and assuming he stays, should be key in a Flores coached defence. And there's no long term commitment so won't hit future salary caps. We won't know if this is a good thing until well into next season.
It’s more that it would indicate that he is going to leave in 2024 (which is when his old deal expired anyway). That contract he signed massively underpaid him, hence why he kept wanting to restructure/negotiate a new deal. Not adding extra years to the deal just seems weird. The team would’ve been really bad with no Cook or Hunter on it this year, the defence especially. But keeping Hunter doesn’t suddenly make them a contender, just seems another example of the Vikings not wanting to just embrace being bad for a year or two for hopefully the greater good
I expected the F1 cars to be quieter than I remembered them , but I didn’t expect them to be quieter than the Porsche super cup cars ! Having said that someone on the F1 section said If you are Ground level to the cars they are still loud , but if you’re on higher ground or grandstands , then the sound doesn’t carry so well .
Justin Jefferson ranked as the second best player in the NFL by the players, behind Mahomes. How he fell as far as he did in the 2020 draft I don't know. Can't wait to see him in action again when the season kicks off next month.
Farrell's red card today could be a blessing in disguise TBH. I think England play better with Ford in the team.
