Latest news.

I was late up this morning so had to do my 4 mile run in full sun. Jumped in the Mediterranean to cool off for 5 minutes though.

Been down the water slides with my son. Read my book on Commanche Indians for a bit but I've had to put me brolly up now as it's too hot again and it's nearly lunch time so I've got to fit another meal in somehow.

Hope the weather is nice back home. I'm not one of those idiots that hopes its raining.

Regards,

So what we are experiencing now is what the 49ers meant by being aggressive in the transfer market?:emoticon-0101-sadsm And I, in my delusion, thought they meant players in, not out:emoticon-0104-surpr But they are professional business men, at least they claim to be, so hopefully they know what they are doing<doh> And Paraag is a top contract negotiator, as he says, so this is probably going well, you'll see. We will win the Premier league, the championsleague and the world cup:1980_boogie_down:

Why isn't integration working

The one positive of relegation (if there was such a thing) was that the Elland Road faithful would get to see the exciting crop of young talent explode on the Championship scene, but for whatever reason, it hasn't materialised, yet!

Leeds Utd worked their socks off to gain Category One Academy status back in 2020, becoming one of only 27 clubs in the Country to share the honour. Their quality of coaching, equipment, facilities and strategic development, made them one of the best Soccer Schools in the Country.

Sonny Perkins, Joe Gelhardt, Lewis Bate, Kris Moore, Jeremiah Mullen, Kristoffer Klaesson, Joseph Mateo and Darko Gyabi have all shown ridiculous amounts of talent in their respective age groups, yet integrating them into the first team line-up is a totally different manner.

Charlie Cresswell's loan move to Millwall last season has done him the world of good, whilst Archie Gray looks certain to carry on the family tradition at Elland Road; but for every player that makes it at Thorp Arch, there are many more who fade into obscurity.

Do Leeds send these youngsters out on loan to get first team experience, or will the lack of depth in the squad force Daniel Farke to throw them in at the deep end?

Fantastic point Matt ... there's no doubt we have extremely talented youngsters in our Academy, and a few of them will definitely do a job for us in the Championship ... the problem is will the manager trust them?

Marsch, Gracia and Allardyce all shunned the youngsters ... fk man, even Gnonto struggled to get a run in the team because he was considered "too young" ... I'm hoping Farke starts blooding these lads, because they're good enough ...Bate is a superb passer of the ball, Perkins has this ability to pull defenders out of shape and drift into the box late to create danger ... Kris Moore is a belter of a player and will be better than Cresswell ... Joseph is a proper talent who's starting to bulk up and and will become a goalscorer ... Gyabi has the tools as well

Then there's Drameh who has done everything to prove himself at this level, and for me should be first choice right-back, but Farke going after Aarons certainly sent the wrong message to the lad ... if we don't use Drameh, who had a superb loan at promotion winning Luton, then there's a problem in our club that needs sorting ... we can't ignore the talent

Players like Gelhardt don't suddenly become bad ... we know the talent's there, the manager just needs to use the talent, work hard with them and improve them ... strong foundation, make it count

Good point, and I'm sure they're in contact with at least ten potential targets ... thing is, it all comes down to the players actually wanting to join the project at Leeds under Farke ... if they don't think the squad will be up at the top end this season, they won't come ... our slow start won't help to sell the project, so results need to start coming quickly

This window is not going to be easy, but things can work out if the team starts winning and we become more attractive ... right now if a players has a choice between Leeds, Saints and Leicester, we know he won't choose Leeds ... not sure how 49ers overcome this, as the Aarons fiasco showed

I have seem more aggression from a pacifist than paddy marathe and his band of yankee doodle dandys. Ken Bates spent more than this bunch.

Yep, then there's this pressure as well ... if the poor performances continue, expect Paraag to get investors in his ear demanding more
I am of the belief, no evidence of course that signings are unduly over implicated with us due to the ownership structure. How many of the big 11 have to give the green light for a signing. Is it a majority or unanimous decision required and how long does it take such agreement
