    Fair enough.

I just looked back and it seems that half the comments in this thread have vanished.

A little tip for you, if you are being ironic (or sarcastic etc) it's best to indicate it somehow because it's not always that easy to pick out when someone is being serious or not, especially on forums like this where comments that seem to be ridiculous and "obviously" ironic, oft turn out to be the genuine opinions of people.

not quite what your associates have to do with our little difference of opinion cc . -- no matter ,

the bottom line of it is that mclaren and red bull have been by some distance the two form teams all season and so making an accurate judgement as to which team has a performance advantage is just about impossible and when you consider all 4 drivers it is still very uncertain hence why i have generally taken the view that there is very little between the two teams --

i have never said mclaren have been the better team all season neither have i said red bull have had that advantage because when you consider all 4 drivers it is still unclear , and when two teams have been the class of the field all season i dont honestly see how any of us on here can make an accurate judgement --

hence why i have allways tried to remain objective and remained on the fence when comparing the two teams ,
--------- it is a shame others are not quite as neutral as i am ---

there are experts who have forgotten more about formula 1 than you , me , and anybody else on here will ever know tron who do infact think that vettel is a " trully amazing driver "

when you look at the relatively similiar performances of button , hamilton and webber in there respective cars it is just possible the before mentioned experts (below) might have a point which maybe might explain why one driver and one driver alone has dominated in the red bull and the other red bull driver has barely matched the two mclarens -

Does this mean Alonso has lost his tag as the most complete driver on the grid then? He doesn't even get a mention...

I have to stop now - Fat Olga says she's going to turn the PC off, and I have to go back to my nice padded room.
I do hate that annoying white jacket I have to wear with the strings on the cuffs. Olga slaps me with her boobies if I don't say my prayers and mention all her family. When the lights go out she slams the door and giggles when she slides the bolts just to annoy me. I hear lots of my mates singing down the hall, but I like thinking about all the nasty words I can type tomorrow. Sometimes she says I can't spell but I don't care. She says I should have got my GCSE in English - but what does she know -Russian bitch!

I love how that link to the same article is posted as some kind of signature to fall back on. I don't know about anyone else but I'm convinced.

A genuinely neutral person would surely feel it likely that at least some informed opinion was relevant?

informed opinon by who ? -- my opinion is as relevant as anybody else"s on here --

at least i am attempting to be neutral in my opinion that there was not alot between the two teams --

as i said when vettel is compared to the very great senna by a proper F1 expert that has worked with both drivers up close and personal then maybe my belief all along that it is indeed vettel and vettel alone that has been making the difference does maybe carry some credibility ---

I am not suggesting that your opinion is less relevant than anyone else's here Xig. All opinions are relevant and I promise you that I am not attempting to belittle yours. I was merely hoping you might acknowledge the method by which anyone forms any opinion.

Surely at least some of your opinion is a consequence of things you've read, heard, seen or otherwise, by those whom you respect?

i fully acknowledge anybodys opinion on here cc , but that does not mean i am going to agree with them if i think they are wrong ,
not much point in joining a forum if you are just going to agree with people just for the sake of doing it ,

as i say i strongly believe it has been vettel and vettel alone that has made the difference in two similiar performing teams and after reading the link i posted by ascenelli that worked as chief engineer for both senna and vettel it has confirmed my belief that i may be correct -

Guy on Ferrari payroll says Alonso is the best.
Guy on Red Bull payroll says Vettel is the best.

There are several other conflicting opinions as well.

    Some say Alonso:

    Others say Vettel:

I'm sure I could find more quotes, for both drivers. Anyway back to the point of Ascanelli's comment, Vettel has not shown any evidence imo of being in Senna's league. To be fair no driver that I've seen is in Senna's league, but the point is I've seen glimpses of that level of greatness from Alonso, but nothing Senna-esque from Vettel - yet.

I think there is confusion between someone's opinion based on their own thoughts and rationale, their opinion based on someone else's opinion, which is therefore not an opinion of their own but merely stating what someone else has said, and then that opinion being over-ridden by someone else's opinion which differs based on the other person's opinion which was not the personal opinion of the person who posted it, but then it is down to the opinion of that person whether their opinion's opinion is any more or less credible than another persons opinion.

God, some people are so opinionated.
