Well, he did say his remit was to fix VAR - and by Christ, it's certainly fixed now. :emoticon-0112-wonde

They did, and I agree with you up to a point, but some decisions can have a significant impact and it's annoying that the level of officiating is so poor. Wolves should have scored in open play, but still, they were denied probably their best opportunity by a poor decision.
I often defend refs to a degree - it's not a straightforward job and players make a rod for their own backs with their constant cheating - but this was one of those sort of incidents where VAR is supposed to assist and I'm perplexed that he wasn't even asked to look at it.

They spent big money on him and looks a player but again just the finishing touch. thing is not sure wolves have any more money to spend on a CF which prob why manager left and O’Neill was brought in

Your midfield looked as bad as ours with teams running through you at ease though. Him and Nunes at times cruises past. I thought mount would offer a bit more solidity in there replacing Eriksen but was anonymous albeit early days.

By God that's a stance and a half. One we all dream of. That gait almost a perfect isosceles triangle, centre of gravity right on the midriff, head fixed at an exact 45 degree angle... and a tag heuer on both wrists to boot.

They ran through you time after time.
Have to admit I was surprised - I thought it would be a comfortable victory for you.

Var needs to stop with this ‘clear and obvious’. If the decision is wrong it’s wrong.

Stop setting an imaginary benchmark for things. I appreciate not every decision is 100% a pen or 100% not a pen.

but seen this weekend ref give a pen for Brighton and against Brighton and both were super soft. But because you could prob argue that they are maybe 20% pens, var hasn’t overturned it.

and again today, it was a pen in most people’s eyes and show that to 100 people and 80% prob say it’s a pen. But cos var thinks it’s not clear because it’s not 100% have done nothing.

need to get rid of that phrasing. They don’t want to re-ref the game that’s fine. Give var totally control to make a decision. They will always have a better angle and view than any on field ref so need to stop with this worry that overturning your mates decision on the park is going to cause problems.

Mount is supposed to track back from what I heard... and I say 'heard' because I didn't know that he ever did. No fcking way we can play like that for the rest of the season so Mount has to either work his arse off or stick to a CM position.

Personally, I think we need to sign Amrabat. Don't know where that would leave Mount, but IF we're going for Amrabat then maybe Ten Hag knows.

The two Wolves players were moving backwards as well at the point of impact.

    Stonewall penalty.

fault of the ref rather than VAR. 99% of referees would have given it. it was obvious to everyone watching the game live and the ref was looking at it directly. VAR basically decided that the referee would have seen the whole incident and had interpreted it as non-pen.

Can you imagine a game completely controlled by VAR? <yikes>

Ehh? these two are incompatible. some decisions deliberately made by referees have to be overturned if VAR is given total control.

imo the only way to fix this is to put some jeopardy on the refs.

I am totally in favour of refs having to speak ro the stadium to justify a major call.

I am totally in favour of a fines and suspension system for refs.

I am absolutely 100% sure that handing a review per half to each manager is far better than winding up.manahers and then carding them. said review must then take the original ref out of the game decision and the decision needs to be looked at afresh.

wolves were clearly robbed last night. absolutely robbed.
