Is Bournemouth trying to sign anyone that doesn't want to come to us? If so, I think we should meddle with that before our game with them next.
Tbf, we looked good-ish for half an hour. But even Rodger's teams proved that if you play high-press, high-energy football you have to get two or three goals when you're on top. As soon as that second was chalked off, it was like a balloon deflating. Still think Macca, Szob, and Diaz brought us a lot more energy than last season, but you're right - simple long balls, central or on the flanks, and we're ****ed. Virgil, Robbo, and Jota will need replacing next summer, and Gakpo just isn't a midfielder for big games - he's head of a diamond 4 at best, but Jurgen won't play any other system than 4-3-3 it appears.
Hoping that- Chelsea didn't want to pay B&H asking price so did the whole 'we'll go elsewhere then' trick, messing with our Lavia deal. Pissed our lot off, bid on Caicedo to force Chelsea to go back to their no1 target and back off Lavia. Most of the rumours now suggest we're leading to get Lavia plus a another.
Think it has done mate. Sky Sports quoting Fabrizio Romano that they have both signings. Wasn't arsed about Caicedo - good as he is, at £111m he's more than double his true price - but losing Lavia is a ****ing shambles.
Where they getting that from, not on his twitter. Latest was that we were going to match the Lavia bid We miss out on both, FSG and the whole board can go, Along with the recruitment team and Klopp doesn't get a say in transfers from now on. This summer has been a ****show of the highest order. ****ing amateur hour
Sky saying Klopp having a go at Chelsea by saying "what the manager want's the manager gets". I would take this as more of a pop at FSG. What's you lots take?
At least Woy bought in players to cover those areas he needed, they might have been **** but they were there. We'll probably run home tales tucked and give up claiming we don't need a DM.
Supposedly, according to a random journalist who doesn't know anything more than any of us do, Klopp has been authorized to buy up to four players and can pull £164million out of his anus for any transfers he wants to spend it on. A load of bull... But though I'd share what Yahoo Singapore news is saying.
Meh, not reading anything into it. Sounds more like a pop at Chelseas spending than anything else though.
Wasn't saying that when he broke two records in one transfer season for a keeper and CB though. I see it more of a pop at FSG.
Both. Justifiably. Chelsea is now like when Abramovich first took over, pre-FFP: Liverpool is like the ***-end of Hicks and Gillett's tenure. Winter is coming... for us anyway. Can't even see us qualifying in the top 6 when they extend the CL in a couple of years' time, especially when Klopp goes. We lost more than Caicedo - who most of us didn't even want this time last week - when we lost Lavia as well today.
