Worst surgical pain was when i had a high tibial osteotomy. Basically cut your tibia 95% of the way through then wedge and plate it. Any bump for the next 12 months had me reeling. Worst short lived pain was when i was changing my young lads nappy (about 1 at the time) and he kicked me in the balls. The previous day i'd had a vasectomy
Thank you Tees I really appreciate it mate. Still trying to get over the shock and get my head around it. We as parents are the ones that should get it first. I would give anything in the world for god to take it out of her body and put it in mine. It’s heartbreaking for me but will get her through all this. Thank you so much for your support. Best LA
Thank you so much. Your support and everyone else’s is amazing. Just going to take it day by day. Best LA
We're all rooting for you all mate....she'll beat the ****er. I work in a Cancer hospice, and I hate this indiscriminate twat of a disease.
Widowed in 2005. Something you never get over but time is a healer. Broke my fib & tib playing footy in 1996. The immediate pain wasn't too bad. The moments between the painkillers wearing off and going into actual surgery was unbearable.
Hang in their mate, she's needs you more than ever now... my thoughts and prayers are with you all, hoping for a good outcome.
So sorry to hear that mate, it’s one of the worst things for a parent to hear. Be there for her all the way mate that’s all she’ll want from you.
Sorry to hear that about your daughter LA. I have a daughter who is only 22 but I can't even comprehend how I would feel in your shoes. As everyone else has said BEST of luck to your daughter and hopefully you have some better news to share with us in the near future about her.
Hi mate sorry to hear that. Hang on in there for her. I am fortunate to be a bowel cancer survivor. Family support is so good in these circumstances. However my biggest mistake was not talking to McMillan. They offer so much support so don't be afraid to chat with them.
It's very difficult to communicate feelings on a message board LA, but my thoughts and prayers are with your daughter, you and all of your family. I hope the treatment she receives is successful and support is available for you all. I have two daughters and a son and like you I would willingly stand in their place to take any hardship they face. Hopefully the good news is just around the corner. Take care
