I don't care who has power. It is a collective, or should be, but someone probably needs the final say if agreement can't be reached.
They didnt ban them, they just put a cap on how long you can spread the wage payments over. Used to be limitless, now I think 5 years is the cap. You can give a player as long a contract as you like, but for FFP purposes you can only spread the value of their contract over the first 5 years.
I don't think they're in any UEFA competitions this year, so probably don't have to worry unless/until they get back in. Then it will probably just be a small fine so worth it.
Why would he want to come to us after we took forever without reaching an agreement and then we bid for Caicedo and left him to look like the spare prick at a wedding?
Because we're a huge step up from where he is, Klopp has a reputation of lifting up young players. We would be a shop window for the national side for the next world cup... ... And he'd be earning a lot more money. Chance to win trophies... Etc.
That's because we don't have a defensive midfielder. If we did, we could aim for lofty heights, like the league cup.
Season over after 1 game? It’s amazing what first game of season can do. City gonna walk the lesgue cos they beat a newly promoted team. neecastle nailed on for top 4 cos beat a team at home who capitulated defensively, Forest for sure going down cos they didn’t look like winning against a team that finished 2md last season. You can’t judge anything from first game of season. Window isn’t even closed this year. United lost their first 2 games 3-0 last season at home to beighton and away to Brentford. Then won the league cup and finished 4th
Im just annoyed we've got to game 1 and still look as poor in the same areas as last year. Ill try and keep my head until we buy what we needed last season. But If Fuking around with lavia bites us on the arse it might just kill me off
According to salarysport.com he makes £38kpw We only have two first team players that earn less than that. Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott. Both are considered primarily back ups and both came through academy so didn't have to pay more to steal them from someone else. I'm sure his salary would double with us.
So thats done and Chelsea have paid £30m more than they wanted too. Not sure why they're paying £4m more than they had too, maybe its a Chelsea **** fee. You really think Chelsea are going to spend £170m on two players after all the money they've already spent this summer. But if we don't get the Lavia deal done and bring another mid then this was all for nothing.
If it achieved nothing else, it kept him out of Chelsea's hands until after we played against them. At the cost of some minor embarrassment, it probably earned us a point today. That one point could be the difference between Champions League and the Eur-nopey league next year.
Oh, for sure... But can Chelsea sign him now without attracting eyes to their bank account? They very nearly couldn't pull of Moises.
