Everton will flush eventually... you can't keep sighting **** players over and over again and keep thinking some blue smoke grenades is saving you
They remind me of Ashley's Newcastle and Ellis Short's Sunderland. You are just getting worse and worse every season and it only comes to an obvious conclusion, relegation. Since Kenwright took charge, Everton have been on a downward trajectory, Moyes gave them a few years of pushing the top half and a champs league cameo but that's about it. They've been getting ****ter and ****ter ever since he left.
Yeh I think that's the bigger fck up. Two weeks left of a transfer window, Klopp's said you need a number 6 iirc, and you have lots to spend. Clubs will ask for a premium. But tbf as long as you get the right signing what the fck does anyone care? Looks like FSG are willing to authorise the cash.
It's a shame we don't sell to each other. It would hurt but I'd grudgingly accept you paying £50-£60m for McTominay
That's how I feel, it's not my money so just get someone in. I was surprised with how good both teams were (at times) yesterday. Top end of the table might actually be interesting.
I'm in the minority who actually thinks he's a decent player (not so much that I want us to sign him) but given time and the right players alongside him I think he could be decent. In the past he's been in there with Fred and those 2 as a combination in the middle is asking for trouble.
I think the Top 5 battle will be great. Let's say positions 2 -> 5 as I think the league title is going to them blue moon ****ers. Btw it makes the domestic cups more important also. Can see a few of the big boy clubs (and Newcastle) going for both this season.
All change for 2024-25 This will be the last season of the existing format - 32 teams in the group phase, split up into eight groups of four, with the top two advancing - with widespread changes coming in for 2024-25. The new format will see 36 sides, with two of the four extra places awarded to countries whose clubs have performed the best in the previous campaign. If the new format had been introduced for 2023-24 and not 2024-25, Liverpool and Atalanta would have been in this season's Champions League because of the performances of English and Italian clubs in European competition in 2022-23. From 2024-25, all teams will now play eight matches (instead of six) against eight different opponents, with four home ties and four away. All 36 sides will be ranked in one single league table - three points for a win, one for a draw and none for a defeat. The top eight in this table will go straight into the knockout stages, while those from ninth to 24th will compete in two-legged play-offs to join them in the last 16.
In his first couple of seasons I could see him (and hoped) as a potential Fletcher for us again. Not sensational but consistently good, break up play and can get forward, a decent box to box mf. But never quite lived up to it under ****e management who never coached or developed him properly. The problem is his positional play is suspect and just lacks consistency. You're right him and Fred was a mess generally, but he's a great sub to bring off the bench imo. He always does well then.
