Chelsea started the half looking absolutely terrible as if no one could look worse... And we've risen to the challenge over the half to end the half looking worse.

 

we are simply not physical enough.

we are not pushing them backwards at all

 

Up until their goal I was mildly impressed with us on the whole, but, stating the obvious here, we don't have the players to manage games.

man goes over ball and grazes it with studs and kicks jota but it's a good challenge even after he sees the replay.

we have done the same all preseason.

gone into shells. rather than being aggressive.

 

Set piece defensive issues carried over into this season too. A DM alone won't fix that.

Glad we're playing Chelsea first game of the season because they're only £600-£700 million in transfers away from being a top team.
