The stop fannying about shout was hilarious and all the funnier because for once the 'fannying about' brand of football was actually working a treat!
I could watch the Tufan rocket...over and over and over and over and over and over.....you get the drill, again...Geo-esque in its beauty.
How many away tickets were they allocated? If they didn't sell out that's pretty poor considering its the first Yorkshire derby after a promotion back to the Championship.
A bit of a heads-up for Connolly, with his goal, he started his run before their player played the back pass, so his anticipation was spot on. It wasn't quite on a plate, he made it that way.
Only saw the highlights but what two great goals by Tufan. Beautiful football real class. Good start to the home campaign and made for an enjoyable Saturday night too.
Wasn't it also Oscar who pressured the LB into playing a first time pass also? Oh and regarding the penalty - the wing play, cross and Greaves getting the run on the defender under the ball meant he was favourite to win it so the defender wiped him out. If that's lucky and not down to good play then I don't know what is.
The guy who sits in front of me constantly criticised Tufan all of last season whenever he played... Whilst he didn't exactly praise Tufan yesterday, it was so good to hear him shut the **** up.
I witnessed some really poor policing at the end of the game. Sheffield Wednesday fans were escorted by police along the Argyle St walkway, at the same time as City fans were leaving. They were on the left side of the path, City fans on the right with a few police in between. The walkway is relatively narrow for that amount of people leaving and in some parts there is no means of access to or exit from the sides. Because of the congestion, it would have been similar from either end. Had it kicked off, it would have been almost impossible for the few police to quickly regain control. The majority were obviously leaving in good spirits, so it didn’t feel particularly edgy. Some Wednesday fans were obviously concerned as they were pointing this out to the police. I don’t usually leave in that direction, so was really surprised. Is that a new policy, for this season because I can’t believe it will pass without a quite serious incident occurring? Are we back to the ‘can’t detain them at the end, as it’s against their human rights’ again… despite every other police force allowing it?
Can anyone explain why after the clash of heads the 2 Wednesday players didn’t leave the pitch yesterday. Is it a rule change or **** refereeing. Also the ref ****ed up twice more by allowing their first goal to stand after he had whistled twice and when there were 2 balls on the pitch.
Yes, and also, the blame seemed to be put on the defender who admittedly didn't look, but what on earth was the goalie doing right over there?
While the safety stewards got a huge pat on the back, on 85 minutes a world record was created. 10 million away fans evacuated in 15 seconds! I believe this drill coincided with connolly’s goal .
Great idea, also ban the ones that are there doing nothing whatsoever, that wouldn't be a first for plod. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
