Well, best of luck to him out there. Shame that Levy intentionally fked him over.

What club would pay £100m for a player they could sign on a free transfer in just twelve months, what is the imperative for BM that they had to sign him now, what is it that they think they can achieve in this twelve month period that couldn't wait (other than the fact that in 12 months more than a dozen clubs would be competing for him). Notionally they my have improved their chances in the CL, but no one player can guarantee success. And also the player, what muppet would leave Spurs now and watch Levy pocket all that cash when in 12 months he could command a £50m signing on fee for his own pockets. Madness all round.

You answered your own question tbh.

Kane makes them contenders now, they weren't after Lewandowski left.

Lot of money but it's Bayern, they've got it. He'll be their missing link.

We should have, if it was actually possible. Never was though.

I mean, Levy was an absolute twat about him going to Munich, imagine how much he'd have been for us to go for him, pretty clear and that's why we pulled out early.

The world and his brother would have been after Kane on a free, the signs so far suggest that Mount wouldn't be much in demand given the same situation

I think that only confirms the comparison. If Bayern were mad to pay £100m for a player with a year left but in demand, then that makes our purchase of Mount in similar scenario worse. Not that I agree btw. I'm glad that we bought Mount just like I'm sure Bayern are glad that they've bought Kane. I'd have been happy with getting him but the Levy saga and stupidity around it put me off.

He came on in the 64th minute with Bayern down 2-0. They are now down 3-0. At this rate, Tuchel will be fired before January.

I don’t understand why he would choose to go to Bayern. Does anyone even care when Bayern wins the league and they are likely not going to win the CL anytime soon given they are in transition again.

He should have stood his ground against Levy and ride out his last year instead of being forced away from a league that he’s so good at.

Oh I agree with a lot of that.

Watching the game I thought the rest of that Bayern side look bang average. I personally think Kane may be unlucky in more ways than one with moving there tbh.

Btw Pavard didn't exactly shine in that first half.

I fcking hope Ten Hag can do better with him than Tuchel.

Exactly, not much point paying £100m for Kane if they are going to ship easy goals like that each game. Pavard was sluggish, but I wonder how much of that is because he has set his mind on leaving......

Are we supposed to be signing Pavard?

    I must have missed that.

I was assuming the Amrabat deal would be next with Fred and Maguire leaving.

There has been paper talk that we are interested in Pavard, nice if it happens as he will team up with his fellow France international in Varane. Armabat seems ongoing, but now Fred has departed it might speed up a little.

He was playing RB last night to be fair. He's a solid CB though and that's where he'll be playing for us if Maguire leaves.

We need to get these players OUT the club if new signings are dependent on sales first. Got to stop quibbling over minor amounts in the grand scheme of things. We could easily bring in £80m-£100m on what's currently being offered on all the players we're selling.

Pavard or Todibo apparently. Sale agreed on Maguire to West Ham but apparently we've agreed with West Ham to hold off until we get one of these signed. We've made an initial offer to Bayern for Pavard but it's been rejected. Pavard has apparently told Bayern he wants United and won't sign a new contract which runs out next summer.

Amadou Onana - There’s more talk of this as a more likely deal. He would bring decent physicality and good technicality to the team. And also replace the battling traits of Fred.

Didn't I read he was valued at something over £60m - where are we suddenly finding all this cash?

Everton paid €40m for him just a year ago. We won’t be getting him cheaper than that. Plus, he’s only 21.

If McTominay leaves, which is starting to look unlikely, then I guess we would have more cash.

I'd prefer Amrabat. Yeh he's not as tall but he's tough and technically better.

Big mistake if we choose Onana over him. I'd be fcked off.
