I get where you're coming from. It's pretty evident across the threads that most of us think Wednesday are going to have their problems but we still had to beat what was put in front of us.If they had scored next at 1-0 up(and that's always a worry when you're a goal down) our heads would've almost inevitably gone and we'd be having a far more serious conversation amongst us all. The fact that we composed ourselves, equalised through a stone wall penalty,Tufan hit a couple of superb strikes and Connolly got off the mark is far more important than Wednesday's woes. The confidence taken from a decent performance and result can't be underestimated, the difference in mindset of our entire squad should be evident and they may well build on it away at Blackburn next Saturday. One swallow doesn't make a summer and tougher games are coming up thick and fast but that result yesterday was huge in terms of morale and team bonding.
Nobody is saying it wasn't a penalty, and I'd agree, it could even have been a red card . But 'gifted' as in it was the defender's stupidity giving us a penalty, rather than for example our attacking play forcing a last ditch foul.
It was your word, own it. It was a penalty because we got the ball into dangerous areas and their defender fouled our player, that's how they tend to be given.
Talking of gifts, you seem to have an amazing gift of making **** up and getting off on being argumentative. -> I thought Liam only had one set of tactics? -> Neither does a last minute loss to Norwich, but for some apparently it did. -> It's amazing what some are still trying to see
It wasn’t tongue in cheek at all. We had all of the ball and had control of the game but for a long time it was very flat and rigid and there was no spark, if it had gone on much longer frustration would have started to set in. The penalty obviously wasn’t gifted but it also came as a bit of a surprise due to the nature of it coming from a defenders loose elbow at a set piece rather than won from our attacking play being too good for them to handle. Had we not got that penalty I reckon there may even have been boos a minute or two later when he blew the half time whistle and it definitely wouldn’t have taken long to go sour after the start of the second half if we came out and continued to play with the same slow and safe style after the break.
Says you. Please tell us more about how we were lucky to score any goals yesterday. Or you can carry on with the personal insults. Although after the way you squirmed out of the discussion yesterday around Rosenior, I suppose you don't consider that language insulting.

The list is growing silly ****. I'm not going to keep playing your stupid games. As said, please just **** off and stop acting like an irritating boring ****.
Is there a reason you've just repeated yourself? Go have a lie down. Or go back to arguing about why players haven't been announced which is such a thrilling topic compared to what I discuss with people.
Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Can't imagine what it is like at the breakfast table with all this repeated defensive blabbering. Epitomy of someone inflicted with pit bull syndrome. Everbody is out of step except our Johnny ! Aaagh ! Give it a rest.
