    Keep the ball England!
    Carter is struggling.
    Imagine Williamson in there instead.
Commentators creaming themselves as Colombia get a corner.

I'm not hearing the same as you then. Emma Hayes is really good.

    She knows her stuff.
Just found them so biased towards the underdogs.
England had 61% possession; almost double the passes; more shots on target and almost double the amount of corners.
Colombia were over physical and not in the same class.
Yet, all the commentators did was big them up.
It'll be the same when we play the Aussies in their own back yard.
England have too many players missing to be as good as they were in the Euros, but they have a great chance now.

Isn’t it a bit Transphobic and sexiest to refer to these galant footballers as “Lionesses” and “Matilda’s “ ?
Surely we’ve moved in from gender based naming eg Police officers, fire fighters etc.

    This needs to be addressed

    So it’s the Ashes revisited.
England must be favourites by a country miles.
Hope our girls can do themselves and us all proud, anything more will be a bonus.

Hope it’s a cracking game for all.

Don't know about that Did. A whole Country and stadium behind your girls, and they look like they're on a mission. The rankings say we're favourites but this has been a strange tournament with plenty of upsets. I'd say it's 50/50 and could well go all the way to pens, should be a tense nervy affair. I'll have the cognac out and the respirator handy ! Enjoy whatever happens, your girls have done you proud

With massive home support I make it 50/50.
Your girls are physical and tough to play against, plus I'd be surprised if they don't get a lot of 50/50 calls going their way, as is usually the case for home teams.
England, even with all the players they have missing are better player for player, but too tight to call imo.
    Should be quite an occasion.

Every team has injuries and players missing, its part of sport. The player England is missing the most is James and that's self inflicted.
As for better players you may be right but as we know team cohesion and belief - as well as the massive home support - plays a huge amount in each match, particularly in tournament football.
Looking forward to the clash it should be a cracker.
    Go you Matildas!
