it looks like the u18s are a signal for the inverted full twat formation.

    4-2 winners in a helter-skelter affair.

if the formation is being deployed down through levels I guess we have to accept it is a lock.

dig in cos we are going to get absolutely torn up at the back.

We might at the start but with other systems that have been brought in over the years we eventually get the hang of it and make it work <cheers>

When Klopp first arrived, the 433 didn't work too well. Or attack kept bailing us out in what I thought was awesome football; we'll score more than you!

I think you'll find it worked when he signed player like alisson, vvd and fabinho

we had people saying klopp needed a defensive coach and he couldn't set a side up etc.

when we get the players to play this formation then it will work.

as it stands we don't have the players.

    match day.

neither club has improved and neither club has a medical booked.

    likely line ups.

    alisson
    konate vvd Robertson
    trent macallister
    Szoboszlai Jones
    salah gakpo jota

(I'm confident that's the formation and feel klopp will go for those forwards to start as he can trust them most)

subs nunez, diaz, Elliott, thiago (10mins)

    chelsea then

sanchez (they have royally ****ed up)
    James silva colwill chillwell
    fernandez gallagher
    sterling chunky mudryk
    Jackson

somehow bizarrely Chelsea after 1 billion spend are likely worse than they were when they started.

sterling right wing is useless. but he only needs run to box for mudryk cross I suppose.

what a back 4 eh? hardly solid.

if it wasn't for the fact we will be walked through time after time I'd say we should be winning this easy.

it's so odd we have not solved that over preseason.

It will be interesting to see if Moises shows his face in the stands... And where he sits.

If Chelsea doesn't end up placing a bid for him and he reluctantly has to join us for only a few dozen million a year instead, he won't make himself well loved if he's sitting in the home section.

if he is not signed then he is a Brighton player and has zero business at another clubs ground.

in fact it would be imo grounds to withhold loyalty payments, if any are in fact due.

imo gakpo gives silva too easy a ride but he will start.

I think jota will start off the left as klopp trusts him most.
