I'm at graft at the moment.Seems that passions are running high between people that usually get along. What's the crack lads?
Defeats hurt us all mate, and some daft things are posted ... ... don't fall into that trap yersel, you're better than that.
might be my bad I slipped a couple of “whoppers” in there not normally like that but just got pissed off with the last few days negativity and sniping and few beers
It's pretty much the same group of players that smashed it last season so it's not all about being desperate to get new signings in. Been a bad start no doubt and we are missing Amad but not that much. Whatever the reason is for our lethargic start it can be sorted out with the squad we have now and Mowbray needs to identify the problem and fix it. Hardly anyone is playing well and clearly they haven't all turned **** between last season and this.
We are missing an Amad. He pulled our nuts out the fire so many times last season We are also struggling because the powers that be have decided Batth and Pritch are no longer needed and Tony isn't allowed to pick them
Mowbray had a few games like this, last season, when he tried out players, in certain positions, and it didn't work out ... ... having said that, Preston couldn't have complained if we'd won easily imo.
I hope so. The club (not Tony) have decided that Batth, Pritchard and Gooch are no longer needed. Suddenly they aren't even in the conversation for the starting XI.
Disgree with the last sentence, TM picks the team so if he gets selection wrong thats on him (yes i get his hands are tied with the striker situation before anyone says it) We are def missing xfactor players, Amad was that last season with the ability to score out of nothing
We are but it's more to do with conceding too many and the midfield not being effective. If anything we're missing Evans, Neil and Ekwah are great when things are going nicely but they're both very young which isn't ideal when it's tough times. I don't know why Batth isn't playing but personally I wouldn't entertain the idea that he's not allowed to pick him, or Pritchard. He's just trying to put his best team out and maybe not getting it right.
Amad also wasn’t here at this point last season, worth remembering, still time to pull a few rabbits out the hat yet, could be drunk optimism but it’s all I can cling to right now, roll on next week, first time I’ve been able to go since last year and I’m already looking forward to it, win or lose we’re all Sunderland til we die aren’t we? Let’s ****ing get behind them then
I'm not sure he believes the words he's speaking when it comes to Batth - he was the lynchpin to our defence all last season, now suddenly he's not good enough?
Could be that the players want away, too much money, captaincy or a guaranteed starting place ... ... and the club don't want to play games. Who knows, it's all just guesswork.
Wouldn't disagree. The club feels in an odd place right now. Doesn't feel like all is well behind the scenes. Let's see where we are on 1st Sept - let's hope we have some points on the board by then
