We started well and should have been 2 or 3 goals ahead after 20 mins (when the score was 2-1). It was then a tight game until a bit into the second half but yeah once Mings went off we bullied them for the last 30 or so mins and should have got more - one cleared off the line, a couple of bad misses, etc.

Some of our fans were unhappy with a) Cash not getting booked earlier as he had a number of dodgy tackled before he got his yellow b) their keeper only getting a yellow, though i think yellow was correct and c) Tonali getting booked for timewasting when, as far as i could see, he delayed leaving the pitch as we scored our 5th and he was cheering - it would seem an odd time to time waste. Overall, got to be happy though!

Your boys were unlucky today, think Preston only had 2 decent shots. Really missing a decent striker though and it's hard to see anything positive from the season if you don't get one. Mid-table otherwise.

I only got the match from the 50th minute onwards and then I kept being called away. Looked like you were dominant to me. As long as you don’t fall apart against City and Liverpool, I think you can look forward to a big season.

Unless we sign at least one forward, I think we’ll be lucky to hit the dizzy heights of mid-table, tbh.
