The problem is we look like conceding every time the opposition go forward. You can’t just ignore the fact we concede because it takes a deflection, it’s how easy they’re in a position to take a shot on goal.

2 shots on target today, 2 goals.
Ipswich had 3 I think and scored 2, plus had a stonewall penalty turned down and blazed a 1v1 over the bar. Both games we’ve had about 70% of the ball and twice as many completed passes at our opponents. It’s just wasteful.

Nobody is saying we’ve not been unlucky to an extent because we have. Roberts should’ve buried his chance that was straight at the keeper, O’niens free header wide, Ba 1v1. On another day you take those chances. That’s not the issue, the issue is we’re a ****ing calamity when teams turn us over too easily in the middle and counter attack.

Absolutely agree and Its early days obviously.
But today we were a poor imitation of last seasons team deliberate slow and lacking spontaneity.
Neil and Jobe in such key positions just didn't deliver.
Yes we lack a striker but lots of other things to address. Not massive changes but the whole team just seems flat

No. Any coach worth their salt will analyse and pick mistakes up. On two separate occasions we lost the ball in midfield and 10 seconds later they scored how can’t you see that

I’m not a coach pal I’m just a bloke that loves my local team. And I’m not gona start looking for reasons to slate players when imo it was an unfortunate unlucky goal that we conceded.

I’ve been concerned about Speakman not having us a forward ready for the season and potentially leaving us short again. Tonight, I’m becoming more concerned about the job that Mowbray is doing with the defence. If you keep conceding two goals a game, you are going to struggle no matter who is up front.

what bigger picture? We’ve lost two games man! Do I think we are now relegation material? Should I just give up thinking we are doomed? What should I do pal? Cry? Dig players out for a missed pass? Please tell me! I guess I must be dumb because I’m not stressed at all or worried.

It's none of the above. Its the fact you don't grasp what cost us the goals today. You think TM will just be saying ah well never mind lads don't worry about losing the ball in key areas .

Both of their goals came from mistakes. That’s fixable. Window still open and we’re working to bring more bodies in. Let’s see where we are by end of month, could be a very different picture. Club need to act with a little urgency but it’s a long way from panic stations.

I admit today that we need that cdm, if we are going to persist with 4231 then we really really need 1, maybe 2
