Tremendous afternoon, great performances all over but special mention to Wolfy who ran Morsy close for MoM. COYB!!!
Fair comment Hampy, we are learning our trade in a much stronger league. But we are unbeaten, top of the table, above Naaaarwich so we must be doing something right! Fair play to Harness, he played his best 20 mins for us, and provided a peach of pass to set up the 2nd goal.
When I saw those subs I'll admit my heart dropped expecting us to dip and struggle to see the game out.Must learn to have more faith in KMc!!
Loungo and Morsy were both excellent today. It also appears that Kmc has challenged Wolfy & Burgess to improve their defensive side and 2 games in, they have not been found wanting. Also agree that Harness had the best 20 minutes he’s had for us when he hasn’t scored, kept the ball well and passing was true. All in all, a very good performance. I was expecting more from Stoke, who apart from the 1st 10 minutes of the 2nd half, offered very little.
I'm in positive disbelief. Stoke and Sunderland have both been touted as playoff contenders this year, we've beaten both with Limited difficulty. Belief and Momentum really seem to have carried over from end of last season. Still, games only get trickier as the season continues. Can only hope we continue to learn and improve with them Might start letting myself get carried away if we beat QPR and Leeds, but for now, feet stay firmly on the ground. That said, the table does induce a smile.
We’ll face the strongest sides in December, so I think any real test will be where we sit in the table come January.
P R was a great place to be on Saturday, 29000+, deafening noise, and a great performance from our lads, and make no mistake we were the better side playing the better football for the majority of the time. Woolfy, Morsy, and luongo were all immense but i could name the whole team because everyone was on it from the word go, i really thought some of our players would struggle to make the step up to Championship level but although its early days i feel quite confident in our boys make the grade. One disappointment from Saturday was the ref, i thought we had left the dross behind but the officiating v Stoke was appalling with yellow cards being shown for alleged time wasting while blatant trips from behind went unpunished, lets hope we were just unlucky to get a non league standard ref.
I am glad you were there FM, must be a real joy to witness all the excitement and action live at PR. I wish I could make the journey up to Suffolk. Our club is deffo on the up and with a fine early start to the season, and the form of our players, we can be challenging for a promotion spot. Lets dream on!
congrats, you are doing better than what we(SAFC) did last season and Plymouth doing great, i bet you spend in Jan as well.
