At times they looked like they've never played together before today. We need players in who've played in this league before. It's all well and good buying good, hungry, young players but there needs to be an offset on that in the pitch
Jobe is only playing because of the 'brand' that's it. Roberts the only one with serious quality today. Best player on the pitch.
Better footballers but not really impressed we are a bit of a mess of a team. Not really sure what we are doing at the moment. Miles away from the quick passing team we were last season. Relying on individual quality today And If we don't stop giving a way really soft goals we will always be chasing things. Anyway only two games but improvement needed all over the park.
I thought we were shocking today mate. No point in having all the ball if we can’t create multiple good chances and seem to concede every time the opposition attack
Strange game to watch, didn't start well, some grew into the game, some disappeared. First goal was a fluke and again knocked the wind out of us, most unlike last season. It looks miles away from the first half against mallorca where we played a closer 3 in midfield and they took turns getting forward.
We don’t need players through the door to win games like that, we need to not be playing 3 physical midfielders and having no real quality in the 10 position. Having all of the ball is fine but if you haven’t got the quality to unlock teams sitting deep then what’s the point? They are **** we should be tanking teams like that.
Our passing and movement was very slow today loads of the ball but slow and deliberate. And the goals we are letting in are so frustrating.
Plenty time in the window but we can’t be sacking off 4/6 points in the way we have, criminal starting the season without the bodies we need but these points have all been made time and time again pointless going over it again
Yeah, im not panicing at the minute as its only 2 games. Reading were top for a while then got relegated last season n Middlesborough n coventry made the playoffs after being in relegation zone in sept But, recruitment over next few weeks is MASSIVE. I looked at the bench today n only thought pritchard could have an impact, need more than that Not writting off any of our players as be foolish (n unfair) to do that after 3 games just dont think we have the right balance at the minute I said to my dad before a ball was kicked that i really didnt like the balance of the squad Up the recruitment team to get it right next few weeks I know its hard after a sh**e result boys but hope you have a decent night n enjoy your weekend Ps really wishing i hadnt given up drink, after todays result i need one
First half I thought we played well but conferred a soft goal. Second half our weaknesses were exposed.
We look so vulnerable on the break which is very worrying. We are not going to win many games letting in 2 a game. 3 weeks to sort squad out.
Get your priorities sorted then use the last bit of the window to fine tune and add loans. Not good enough from the club and there’s the evidence.

Roberts and Cirkin. That's it. Everyone else under performance levels. Midfield was not up to scratch. 09 poor again. Clarke in and out when he had his man on toast. Nowt through the middle in the 10 or 9. Again. Actually pissed right off.
Only saw bits of the game, didn’t expect anything from it today to be honest and the game went exactly as I thought. Plenty of possession and dangerous attacks but no cutting edge. It’s still early days though
Mowbray has tweaked the system and it hasn’t worked - Neil was holding and he’s made him and Ekway go side to side and Baath organisation was an issue today. I possibly would have played 09 for the reasons stated by Mowbray but I’d have been wrong and so was Mowbray but ultimately we have a proper CDM as we all stated we needed in May and we have the balance.
