I reckon it's a new 4, 2, 2and a half, half formation. It's not a false nine or anything we have seen before, Pep will be copying this soon
Can’t call this one. Genuinely feels like it could be a disaster, it could be tight, or we could run riot wouldn’t be surprised at anything
I thought the consensus after last week’s match was that Hemir was not ready for the step up. He was a bit of a passenger. Now he’s left out and people whinge about that. Mowbray is just picking a team that will compete, score goals and hopefully win the game. I doubt he’s trying to make a point to anyone. Hemir will come on after 60 minutes and cause some problems for Preston.
I'd say it's embarrassing to travel to an away match with your star striker, have him leave before kick off, lose 3-0 and go bottom ... ... Boro just managed that, haven't scored in two games and didn't look like it. That doesn't alter the fact that we need a striker but Mowbray believes we'll bring one in to supplement the two new lads, Stewart and Dack. He hasn't brought in Dack to sit in the reserves so it's no surprise he's playing him, after all he has bags of experience at this level. I thik he'd have started against Ipswich, if he'd arrived earlier, which means Hemir wouldn't be dropped, even if he'd come on as a sub.
My steam on IPTV is working fine. If you're having trouble and using a fire stick ( I assume) it might be worth powering it off for 5 mins and trying to load the steamer
Dacks not a striker though mate, hes spent his whole career playing as an attacking midfielder. I understand why Hemir has been dropped, hes a young lad playing his first season of first team football in a new country. I cant believe we're even in this situation though, where we are starting a new season with no fit and experienced striker. Most teams need 4 to have a successful season.
We played some beautiful stuff last season without a striker. The issues came when we lost all our big lads at the back. Whilst I am keen for us to bring in strikers for different options, I’m happy for us to continue playing how we did last season. Just because we have a young striker doesn’t mean he should automatically start, as others have said, he needs time to bed in properly
Multiple teams playing without a recognised striker in the championship today, shows how difficult the market is. Boro played a winger, Leeds playing Gelhardt, West Brom playing a winger, Blackburn playing a kid, Preston playing Keane who is more of a 10. Its not a good situation for us but we aren’t alone.
Boro will struggle this season. Theyve lost Akpom, Archer and Aaron Ramsey. Thats the equivalent of us losing Clarke, Roberts and Stewart all in one go. Thats what happens when you rely on loan signings to get you promoted.
One of our best games was at Reading without Stewart or Simms ... ... Dack will love playing in this team as did Amad.
