He would have needed a new squad they were pathetic. This season we have returned loanees player for their futures.
Jesse was a pathetic excuse of a coach, he came out and said the players were not buying into his method, what he meant was he can’t coach them. He instructed Orta to hit the transfer market, was it nine new players he signed? Those players might have been mentally weak but they had a weak coach too so it was a recipe for disaster. We had a 45 minute spell against Palace where they showed us what was capable. Orta signing Jesse, Jesse and his choices, the players we brought in, the late sacking of Jesse, Radz going for an extra year, Orta with his contracts, Radz having too much faith in Orta, players being mentally weak, there isn’t any single reason for our downfall, they’re all to blame mate Have a great holiday
Not true as the right manager doesn't allow pathetic. There's a good reason the players weren't fit enough to play and compete for 90 mins in what turned out to be dreadful season. Did you listen to Farke's interview after Shrewsbury where he said we run the most kilometers in a match for years and he was delighted with that level as it showed how hard everyone had been working in pre season.
Some of those were pathetic under Bielsa. The mistakes under Jesse at both ends of the pitch showed they cracked under pressure. Particularly Firpo, Cooper, Struijk, Meslier, Bamford all of whom are unbelievably still here. You can disagree all you want fellas but one thing that happened under Jesse was that they at least put the effort in. Jesse said they played scared. Gracia came in and the effort levels dropped as we started to sit deeper. Unfortunately the errors kept coming costing us game after game and then they literally crumbled in games and we started to lose games by a lot of goals. Gracia himself alluded to individual mistakes and how they had to stop if we stood any chance. Gracia said that they were afraid. Big Sam came in and actually made alot of changes that I agreed with given his limited time here. Dropped the goalie, committed numbers to defence and tried to tighten us up. It helped a little but again missed chances (penalties) and defensive **** ups (Firpo and Struijk) ultimately did for us. Sam also mentioned that they need to be less afraid and stop making individual errors. He can only tweak formations and not stop players handling in the area, tripping people up in the penalty area, missing penalties etc. Every manager we've had has said the same thing but yeah blame Jesse and Jesse alone. We weren’t in the relegation zone when he left. We finished 2nd bottom and performances of the team and players actually dropped. Posters are worried about players leaving. I'm not. Get rid of all of them if I could. I know that won't happen but starting with Meslier, Ayling Cooper, Struijk at the back last weekend and then being astounded by the fact we conceded two weak goals at home is just as dumb as some of our players have been.
Yep. I'm not saying Farke is as bad as those before him. Just saying that the players have underperformed for multiple managers. Even Bielsa at the end. Hopefully Farke can sort it but even he has said he wants to strengthen across the squad. He's not daft. After Cardiff he has tried to bring in Aarons (fell through) and Rodon on loan. He's also brought in a 2nd keeper because Meslier is hit and miss. He seems to be addressing the glaring issue which is we concede way too many goals even at this level.
I don't consider myself to be in any way racist, nor have I bothered about the BBCs PC-ness. Until today. I switched on Football Focus at lunchtime. 1 presenter, 3 pundits. 2 men, 2 females!, & all black. Checked the census figures. 4% black. Fair? Balanced? Nope, ridiculously un-PC imho.
I don't care what colour or gender they are so long as they know their stuff. It infuriates me when people are put on there because of gender/race and proceed to throw out cliche after cliche with no thoughts themselves. Alex Scott has made a career out of it. She knows **** all. Emma Hayes is extremely knowledgeable about the game, better than most male pundits.
Missed my point. Nowt to do with knowledge. It's all about the BBC's woke policies, which is self-evident watching Football Focus.
You missed my point. I was agreeing with you. I want to listen to people who know what they are talking about. Not people shoehorned in because they are a certain gender or race as is blatantly the case on a few channels.
You're a Scotsman trying to type in English and I'm a Yorkshireman trying to type in English. Think we're on to a loser. It's fun though.
