It's a little like Doctor Strange in Endgame. This might be the only way that we may have a slim chance of Harry breaking the PL record with us and not a rival PL team. Have a happy player who gets to scratch his itch of playing elsewhere whilst remaining on good terms with the club. Keep Kane on good terms with the fans. The deal is 4 years and I believe there is a buyback clause. So no heading to Chelsea or United to break the record with them. Ange has one or two seasons to get Spurs to the CL, with slightly less pressure. Hopefully, he'll be looking forward to people writing him off and proving the doubters wrong. I'd love for us to win a cup, and /or challenge without Kane. I don't think Ange having a slate clean of Kane is the worst thing. This Gift Orban guy needs to be signed ASAP, simply because he's looking like an Ange target. Eze? Lavia? Johnson? Tapsoba? Let's go!!! I also want to see Scarlett have a standout season, at least in a cup run. Son is more than capable to start as a striker with Solomon on the wing. Who knows, maybe Kane returns after his fling in Germany, to put the icing on his cake.
Only thing i would say is if this was always on the cards its pretty bad preparation to leave it literally the day before your season opener with your ex club captain getting huge amounts of game time in your pre season for the sake of a few million quid.
If it was to allow us time to sort out a few more incomings then it makes sense...if no one else is signed all hell will break loose imho

pretty true, should have just set a hard deadline and gone with it. Everything was pretty much sorted in a day or two once the offer was accepted. Not ideal preparation, i haven't watched your pre season games but did anyone else get a go up top apart from kane?
there were rumours of us being prepared to rip contracts up, which we’re yet to see. There’s so many players to move on, and history would tell us that we won’t spend until we’ve sold. can you honestly see us sorting a clear out in order to bring in the likes of Tapsoba, Orban & Co? I just can’t see it mate. What I feel is more likely, is a disappointing end to the window in terms of incomings, followed by more tension between the fans and the board.
