Just put tell Gnonto he's only needed at the club on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays to train on his own. He won't be considered for matches at any level but as per contract will have to turn up to work. Make sure the little **** can't even pop home for a few days.
He’s contracted to play we are contracted to pay the little **** don’t wana play then we don’t wana pay sounds fair to me hope his career goes straight down the pan
Hope Cresswell kicks him all over the training pitch. The other players should be giving him dogs abuse to be fair.
I don't believe for a minute that Gnonto has actually said the words attributed to him. He's a wee boy & will be relying entirely on his agent, & it's the agent that's creating this mess & presenting the ultimatums. So I don't blame a wee lad in a strange country being manipulated & not realising it. According to some clickbait sites, a £30m fee is being bandied about now, with the catch that Everton want to pay in installments. Personally, I'd tell them to GTF, as we'd be very lucky if we got anything after the first installment. FFS, they're nearly bust & (should be) facing FFP sanctions. We might get a bid war yet, & if Leeds can pull in £30m-ish, they'll be pulling out all the stops.
Won’t be necessary. Coops Can just tell him to **** off. That’ll show him. To be fair to Liam… most of the dressing Room took his advice, and Gnonto is trying to.
Whether Gnonto is acting on his own or being guided by his agent he's not doing his reputation any good at all. Hopefully players/management are trying to steer him right. If he still refuses to play then discipline him and let him wallow in self-pity for as long as possible.
It’s not a good look is it. Would you sign a player with a history of downing tools? Once you take the moral lowground you’re likely to end up at clubs whose ethics match your own. Reap what you sew.
This stance is as good as any signing, a real statement for the club. Spot on, fine him and stick him in the U21s and see how many games he gets for Italy then
Agree. They have to back it up though. Will look a bit cheap if they get a great offer for him and flog him next week.
I’ve another idea for Gnonto, wait till the window closes and offer him a choice, sit and rot in the reserves or go out on loan to a Division 1 team let’s smash his ego
All this nonsense about its not him it's his agent. Bollocks. He's 19 years old. He knows the difference between right and wrong. **** him.
This is where we will see the true mettle of our new owners, the previous rats had clauses as does Adams but this little ****er doesn't. As Clint would say 'well do ya punk?'
Perhaps, but you assume he's aware of everything going on. That's not a realistic assumption for a young footballer who's used to people directing him in every part of his life - clubs, agents, & parents. It wouldn't surprise me if the lad just wants to play football & leave most decisions to his agents.
