It’s just something that hides your location mate, so for example if your on holiday and want to put a bet on in the uk you can change your location to look like your in the uk.

someone will probably explain it better like ha

if someone likes to surf 'dodgy sites' it will come in handy. ;)

basically, everything connected to the interweb has it's own 'address' and anything done on that interweb can be tracked, so if you want to watch a (for example) football game that does not allow UK watching, you use a VPN and set it to another country and go to the site to watch the game.

could go into much more detail but that is pretty much it...i use 'browsec' which is a free add on for firefox, just in case i might want to grab a few torrents.

Nord is about the biggest one, don’t be tempted by a free one they will **** your devices up.

Proton costs but has a range of other services like cloud storage and email and is really protected, doesn't keep logs. Not that I do anything nefarious but nice to know it's truly secure and private.

Get one free with my McAfee virus protection. Which is annoying when I just paid for a year of Express VPN

Given the amount I stream I really should get back on the VPN train. They all seem to reduce your speed a little which did annoy me.
