Rosenior said: "We need to give them (fans) something to shout about for sure. "Maybe there's one or two dissenting voices because we lost a League Cup game to Doncaster and maybe haven't signed the players' people were expecting. "If people can, believe in me, the process and the players. Boo me, but please don't boo the players when they are trying to play as they are trying to do things the right way." Midweek saw Doncaster stymie Hull from a tactical perspective and Wednesday could well endeavour to replicate the approach in marking the hosts outfield players man-to-match and matching them up in terms of system and sitting off them. Rosenior says that whatever transpires, his players must work things out for themselves. He added: "Sheffield Wednesday might press us, sit off us or go man for man. It is up to the players to make the right decisions 'in game.' "It cannot be me or the coaches at half-time because 45 minutes have gone. "I want them to be accountable and be free to make mistakes. I don't want them to think 'what does the gaffer want me to do in this situation.'" https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...tled-fans-ahead-of-championship-derby-4252732
Some strange comments in there, if he wants accountability and players who can make those on field choices without fear of reprimand then you need proven experienced players at this level. Also if he has created an environment where players are worried/questioning/thinking "what does the gaffer want me to do in this situation" then he has to be big enough to look himself in the mirror and realise he's made mistakes and created that atmosphere himself by the way he is/does things It's a bit of a head scratcher imo
It cannot be me or the coaches at half time because 45 minutes have gone.... thats what you get chuffing paid for man!!!... in fact, the best thing IMO he has done at this club and showed he might have something was against West Brom when Slater went down injured after about 20 having been overrun and he changed it... FFS!!!! and is this them being accountable bollocks so he can hold his hands up and say "wasn't me guv!!!" As I said earlier, there are times actions speak louder than words...
So at the end of a game how do you know if it's the players or the manager getting boo'd? Asking for a friend.
Those delicate flowers need protecting from those nasty supporters who pay their money and boo. Would I boo no I am not a ****ing kid booing is like pantomime but I’ll call them ****ing ****e.
Never boo your own team. call them dozy twats or whatever if they’re playing like donkeys, but booing is ridiculous.
“I want the players to take accountability but I want to take the accountability” Someone needs to stop this man talking to the media. Every interview he’s done this week has been a pile of nonsense.
Sure the booing, which wasn't massive by any stretch of the imagination, was a reflection of the frustration about the seeking to hold onto the ball and play out from the back tactic, not at the players, per say.
Agreed, but lacked real leadership on the field. To be fair, just having Seri in to drop deep and receive the ball should help as after Traore spaffed up he didn't want to know against Donny and no one else did it either.
And we did... For 10 minutes, we absolutely battered them. So how do we explain the inability to adapt once Donny started man marking the playing out from the back outball? That was a weakened fourth tier Donny side - who generally get outplayed every game. In the fourth tier.
Aaaah yes, but that was Tuesday and today we maybe/definitley/ perhaps might be signing someone who is great at free kicks and who knows maybe a lot more... so lets not mention Tuesday ..
In my opinion, the players where to ridgid in what they could/would do. If that same team honestly believed they could play how they wanted/needed without fear of how LR would react, would we have seen that performance and or result?.... I highly doubt it. The performances along with his comments, it seems he's building a very worrying ridgid my way or the highway atmosphere in the squad that's creating fear. It's exactly what people linked to derby told me he was like there, along with not wanting big& experienced personalities int he squad. Everything I was told seems to now be happening here with us. I really really hope it's not true and just a coincidence, but it's difficult to ignore the similarities ATM. I'll be just as happy as anyone to see LR absolutely it here and make these things I'm saying look totally stupid cole the end of the season
How many championship sides went out of the League Cup during midweek to lower league opponents? City, Millwall, Coventry, Southampton, Sunderland...Good to get out of it early doors.
So. We have Bird wanting to reunite with him from Derby and Connolly has re-signed. If it was as bleak a picture as you're painting then I can't imagine that they would want to touch him with a bargepole.
Connolly had zero other interest when it came down to it. Bird we'll soon see and at no point have I or would I say that nobody would want to play for him or that nobody likes him or gets on with him etc. But from what I'm hearing from a few different places now ( and I've no way of proving it 100% ) we have struggled to attract certain players due to LR, his inexperience and perceived boring style of play All I'm saying is the things that I was told and totally dismissed and laughed off as sour grapes etc are potentially happening here now, coincidence it may well be, but a couple of other people in here who would know, have also claimed all is not Rosey in the camp for certain reasons.
